can i say, as An Homo, everything I've heard from this album sounds like it's 20 years old and i'm not terribly impressed
he should have done this a long time ago. dude can write a mean pop hook, and his heart's in the right place 90% of the time, but he has an astonishing number of feet and a whole lot of room to fit them in his mouth.
learned about her work through her connection with Current 93, and the way that whole sort of post-industrial scene (C93, Coil, NWW) embraced her work and championed it to a new generation is really wonderful. happy she's still around and doing great things.
vinyl-only is a load of bullshit no matter who or why
imagine seeing news of a legend's death and coming to bitch about the rock and roll hall of fame in the comments
no, it's there. Michael Hutchence and Andrew Farriss are credited as songwriters on the track.
hot damn, this rules. also, seeing Ben Babbitt becoming more and more in-demand as a collaborator is exciting, been a fan of his work for the game Kentucky Route Zero for a long time now. check that game out if you haven't it's wonderful.
Carloine showing up in the vid isn't a surprise anymore if you mention it in the post!
holy shit wait Lil Tracy is Ishmael Butler's son? am i the last person to find out about this? this track slaps btw, love Shabazz
every generation gets the "charismatic but soulless boy band manufactured by business interests" it deserves i guess
Bambara fucking slaps, god damn
i said "sometimes" pal
sometimes listenable is overrated
ehh, i'm feeling this even less than Dedicated, and i was not super into that album either. at least we'll always have E•MO•TION.
Black Eyed Peas need to do the "write a song without interpolating the hook from another song" challenge
surprised there's nothing here about Wiley allegedly sleeping with underage girls quite frequently, but maybe stormzy's saving that for "really fucking disappointed"
honestly amazing that she made six tweets explaining why the series has been halted and none of them contained the words "we're sorry" or "i apologize"
all of Clarity was co-written by the man who raped and abused Kesha for years, jsyk
so how about nina kraviz losing her shit on twitter and calling a black woman racist cause she was called out for wearing cornrows huh
good band, good song
man, sometimes you run out of clean shit to wear when yr on tour, y'know
honestly surprised it happened, it's been a while.
you'd think if you had a song called "Holly Wood Died" you'd want to just keep that hidden from the rest of the world
okay, but i still feel like "punchline" is fairly applicable.
hang on, when did marshmello *stop* being an EDM punchline?
that cut deep. about as deep as any of morrissey's political commentary.
"you may quite reasonably find his music and persona insufferable but probably enjoy at least a handful of his songs." the first half of that is true.
