So one of the polls isn’t entirely accurate as it only has 57 responses (I usually go up to a minimum of 60 now) so that one will be up as well as the other three. Damn....The polls are brutal out here *crying inside* YEAH!
Lol the irony in this comment (Not the one you took a picture of)
DWLY- 7. I am a bit generous today, but tbh I think of this as the female's version of "Everytime You Go Away". But unlike that song, where the vocals are a bit scratchy (Which isn't a criticism unless the lyrics doesn't exactly demand the scratchiness), I kinda like Gloria's vocals here. The lyrics aren't anything too special, nor is the musicality and honestly if it was objectively scoring it would be a 6, but come on I like Gloria's vocals here. YGAF- 5. Ah James Taylor, I remember you. I still think "Mockingbird" is a bad song (which is a 3, and that's being generous), and the "Handyman" cover is no favorite of mine (Maybe like a 4 at best), but this song is just average. IR- 6. Hard to honestly describe it w/o looking at the songfacts website, but this rating is just first impression and I kinda like it. It's not bad but it could've been better.

CH-9- Fuck it. I know it may not be for everyone, but Whatever this is one of those songs where The musicality is perfection IMO. MM- 8. Good song, not really something I want to listen to every day, but I like it. GALG- EASY 1! Ffffffff××××K! DONNY OSMOND! Oh and the original is a 0. It doesn't even deserve a 1.
Warned you about this though, we have 3 (Not including Next Monday) polls today Next Wednesday’s Poll is Up: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeRkWajb1GV7NnN9HBG4-jIXSmisSD0UUmuZDUDmjkSL6gldg/viewform?usp=sf_link ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here’s next Friday’s Poll :D: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf0q9cmifWk1qulIuBndg3Rx-ntcuZXZGAbOAddYeBAh_Ed7g/viewform?usp=sf_link ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (In case you missed Monday’s Poll, here it is) https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeY8USLtBy3x84wFO9OZl2pUwbHmmhVhxuVCnS5393xOLNaiA/viewform?usp=sf_link [Remember that I will post the scores for Friday’s Poll, Monday’s Poll and Wednesday’s Poll around 5 or 6PM (Yeah, it turned out Marching Band is from 8-4.) So if you’re wondering, no I am not gonna show Next Monday’s scores as it is not finalized. I will show last Wednesday’s Scores though. The Number 3s!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you to the 71 of the TNOCS veterans and visitors. Batdance- 5 or 6. I am more forgiving for this song as I like the novelty of it. Still though this feels weird that this is the biggest song for the month of August 1989. Brand New Key- 4. Listen I heard more hate to this song before praise, and while I don't hate it, I do acknowledge that this is just....meh. Lay Down (The Candles) [I believe that's the title] is WAY better. (I give it an 8) Family Affair- 9. I do prefer the other two #1 hits from the group, but that doesn't mean I dont like this song.
So I am having trouble accessing today's Poll. It says it doesn't start until August 25th at 9:00.
I didn't mean to italicize everything. Gosh darn it
Aight here are the scores from Part 32 Thank you to the 76 of you who did this poll. Results; Marty Robbins- Don't Worry (1961) Average- 5.6 (AC: 5.59) Mode: 6 (x17) [26.6%] (There was also 17 votes for the score of 5, 6 is closer to average) Highest Rating- 9 (x3) Lowest Rating- 2 (x3) CRS (Out of 129)- 91 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Charlie Daniels Band- The Devil Went Down to Georgia (1979) Average- 7.8 (AC: 7.81) Mode: 8 (x18) [24.3%] Highest Rating- 10 (x16) Lowest Rating- 2 (x1) CRS (Out of 129)- 27 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Connie Francis- Sixteen Reasons (1960) [Lowest Ratings] Average- 5.2 (AC: 5.19) Mode: 6 (x16) [25.4%] Highest Rating- 9 (x1) Lowest Rating- 1 (x1) CRS (Out of 129)- 101 [Fun Fact: I use "7 Things" by Miley Cyrus as the opposite of this song sometimes lol ("7 Things" is an 8 at the least. I plan to review it when I get to my best of 2008...after I review "Viva La Vida" in the loooong article that one's gonna take] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tears For Fears- Head Over Heels (1985) [Highest Rating] Average- 8.4 (AC: 8.41) Mode: 10 (x24) [31.6%] Highest Rating- 10 (x24) Lowest Rating- 2 (x1) CRS (Out of 129)- 8 (Top 8) [If you are wondering what song this song pushed out of the top 10 overall, it was "If You Don't Know Me By Now"] Announcement #1: So good news, I AM able to do these polls, the problem however: They will be at around 12:30 PM at the minimum. I can't do the polls next week as the Band stuff is from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM every day that week Announcement #2: Prepare yourself for 3 Polls on Friday. I was gonna give you 4, but eh, I can do 2 polls today. The problem was that the internet went out in my area (Which is Virginia) and had to do these polls on Mobile. But I think I can manage to make another poll. Here is Wednesday's Poll: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSddiNQ5h5uGMcOo94bT_x5KlLDUc10NMOrpv4Hst-z3SCu7gw/viewform?usp=sf_link For Monday next week: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeY8USLtBy3x84wFO9OZl2pUwbHmmhVhxuVCnS5393xOLNaiA/viewform?usp=sf_link
YAAAAY we voted for the same song....I hope anyways
My favorite song of summer? Well that's kinda hard honestly for This summer My choices were slim but I went with "brutal" by Olivia Rodrigo. The other two choices were Golden and Quicksand, but they didnt leave that much of an impact and they aren't technically summer songs anyways.
9-10-7 TS- Oh why did I give it a 9 you might ask? Well it's because I find this just something truly special. Reminder that the biggest song about Drug abuse was by Ringo Starr I might add lol. Still though, the only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because I have "Dancing With The Devil" which SHOULD'VE became a hit. LST- I mean come on, you can't give this a 10 unless you like songs from him better. This is just one of those songs I could play and love over and over again regardless of Radio overplay. AP- My only small complaint is that it is a bit too long, other than that I like it. I heard of the "Vincent" song and heard FreakyTrigger gave it a 1, but eh it's aight. Probably like a 5 or 6 for Vincent for now.
Got a few announcements after I show you the scores. THE NUMBER 3s!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you to the 65 of you who did these polls. I will be still here for Wednesday and Friday though, so it’s not like THIS is the last day, just wanted you guys to keep in mind why they may not appear next week. Marching Band starts at like 8:00 each day I believe. If it doesn’t, I may be able to do these polls and I’m making a big deal over nothing 0-0. Just a thought though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2-9-7 IYDNMBN- Oh boy, this is just horrendous. Now I remember before I listened to the original version of this song, first listen wasn't all that bad. Now that doesn't mean it would be getting a 7, but I kinda liked it. That was until I listened to the original version.....twice. Now I LOATHE it. If I wasn't being generous today, this cover would get a 1 because jesus christ. HOG- What do you exactly want me to say? It's a sentiment to great songwriting skills. "I've Been a Miner/For a Heart of Gold". The only reason why it isn't a 10 is because it isn't exactly something I would want to listen to all the time WY- Ah Nelson, the guy who made that weird af song "Coconut" (It is a 3 If you were wondering). This feels more like a vocal showcase. But if that is the case, then HOT DAMN does he hit those notes. The whimpering, the piano, the "I CAN'T LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE" all works...of course if you're in the mood.
For the record, If You didn't know by now, "If You Don't Know Me By Now" by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes (1972) has an average of 8.3 (AC:8.32) and has a Mode of 10. It is barely hanging onto the top 10 of The Number 3s Overall

Straight 7s (7-7-7) Good Thing- TBH, I have not too much recollection for this song. I do quite like it and if I remembered it more it would be an 8 TFTEISYF- I am a Killing Me Softly type of guy, but that doesn't mean I dislike this song. It's quite pleasent and I do quite like the piano playing. Just not really for me. AHWNN- On the Objectivetory, this should probably be a 6. But gosh darn it I love the guitar work to not give it a 7. I do admit the lyrics don't really have anything except more of a Drug trip. But the instrumentation is just lovely.
Real Quick question. If I have the scores of a Double A side, should I do averages of their individual averages or be separate for the scores for the CRS (Current Ranking Spot)? If combined, I’ll show the combined average as well.

Well Sorry for my Score of 2 then.....I am still part of the #JusticeForMagic group though.
I'll be starting this because Why not Foreigner 8/14 (50%) Journey- 11/19 (57.89%) Survivor- 9/18 (50%)
7-5-4 As for the last song, at least it's not the cover of "Dandy"
7-9-7 I don't really have a comment other than this Milli Vanilli #1 isn't their best #1......but it is CERTAINLY not their worst.
just want to add this Tom, Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) is at least an 8. Agree to disagree.
THE NUMBER 3s!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you to the 75 of you TNOCS Veterans and visitors who did these polls The Scores ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Neneh Cherry- Buffalo Stance (1989) [Highest Ratings] Average- 8.7 (AC: 8.69) Mode: 10 (x31) [41.9%] Highest Rating- 10 (x31) Lowest Rating- 2 (x1) CRS (Out of 112)- 5 (Top 5) Fun Fact: This is the highest rated 80s Song currently on The Number 3s overall. (1966) Average- 5.8 (AC: 5.76) Mode: 6 (x12) [16.9%] Highest Rating- 10 (x5) Lowest Rating- 1 (x7) CRS (Out of 112)- 76 Fun Fact: This is one of the few songs that never made a Year End. It peaked at #3 I believe in its 3rd week on the charts. Then the song got pulled from radio because in 1966, insanity was a controversial subject matter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Styx- The Best of Times (1981) [Lowest Ratings] Average- 5.7 (AC: 5.71) Mode: 7 (x14) [19.4%] Highest Rating- 10 (x4) Lowest Rating- 1 (x2) CRS (Out of 112)- 78 (This one was honestly a shocker to me that this was the lowest rated song) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bee Gees- Love So Right (1976) Average- 6.5 (AC: 6.48) Mode: 6 (x16) [22.5%] [There was also 16 votes for the score of 7, 6 is closer to the Accurate score] Highest Rating- 10 (x2) Lowest Rating- 2 (x1) CRS (Out of 112)- 59 Fun Fact: The other song that peaked at #3, “Lonely Days” (1970 (Peak: 1971)), is 3 spots higher than “Love So Right”. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Monday’s Poll is up: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe7QhfLTZRGMT_vyzcgoPEzNbYUx-D46ovEE9SEyX0icz_3kA/viewform?usp=sf_link
I was wondering when someone was gonna make the "Unsatisfied" Joke lol.
Excuse Me as I get my drumsticks. (2 Minutes Later) badum crash
If you want a small tip, you use instead of [] to make something bold and/or italics.
Yyyyyeeeeaaaah sorry to make you feel guilty but like it's really the title that automatically sets the bar low for that song. Seven LITTLE Girls (Sitting in the Backseat). Now I didn't expect this to be a joke song, Which makes it a little tiny bit better, but not by much. I give it a 2. It at least isn't Steve Lawrence sooo 1 point for that lol.
Satisfied- 7 (I wasn't lying when I said this was my favorite #1 hit from Richard Marx. While lyrically yeah it's not really TOO special, I just love the guitar work in this song) Song sung Blue- 4 ("Boring" is a term I don't like using a lot, but boy oh boy does it show up. Neil Diamond is someone who I find just like a Poor Man's Barry Manilow in his 80s phase, but 70s Neil Diamond I find okay. This is just a bit boring for my taste.) Candy Man- 2 (I don't agree with the sentiment of this being a 1 per say, but it is still insufferable. To be perfectly clear, I hated the original song. And to hear Sammy Davis was more than likely Forced to sing this song is just disheartening.)
Did "Love Shack" peak at #3? If so HELLLL YEEEESSSSSS!!!!!

It’s still the highest rated song overall on the Number 3s so It isn’t a big loss] Saturday In The Park- Chicago (1972) [The score is 7.5 (AC: 7.53). It still got the rounded average score but the Accurate score was wrong)] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
