It's a wonder that I still know how to breathe.

Comments from peet

I'm 31 and close friends with an 11-year-old girl. But I suppose it would be weird and creepy if I texted with her because she's a dog.

I wasn't out when I started commenting here - and I guess I don't always comment, most of the time I start to type a comment then cancel it and sprinkle some upvotes instead. But it's been really helpful for me to see a wide variety of queer people here and the whole community being so supportive. I think it helped me when I did start opening up to people in real life. Unlike most sites, coming to the comments here often actually restores some faith in humanity. Plus I always like when people here remind me to listen to good music I've been ignoring. Thank you Dan for this, and thank you everyone. I love you all.

I was just telling someone yesterday that the 2010s lists are going to start the middle of next year and didn't even think about this list coming today. 1. Hop Along - Bark Your Head Off, Dog (although I just discovered Painted Shut and have been listening to it even more) 2. A.A.L. - 2012-2017 3. Beach House - 7 4. DJ Koze - Knock Knock (although I just discovered Amygdala and have been listening to it even more) 5. Jeff Rosenstock - POST- 6. Parquet Courts - Wide Awake! 7. Hookworms - Microshift 8. Janelle Monae - Dirty Computer 9. MGMT - Little Dark Age 10. Lucy Dacus - Historian Too early to tell but I liked them so far: FJM, Iceage, Jon Hopkins, illuminati hotties Also I keep forgetting to listen to Car Seat Headrest. I listened to Twin Fantasy a ton before he redid it this year and loved it, and I actually like the new version even better. But I haven't spent as much time with it so I didn't include it in the list.

I really liked Three Futures but I know I'm in the minority. Not just from the comments here. I saw her last year and there was fucking nobody there. Still put on a great show though, and I'm sure she'll find another label and do fine.

Just stumbled upon this tab I opened a couple days ago. Didn't really get into Deserter's Songs when I listened to it a while back, but I'm listening to Yerself is Steam right now and holy shit this is amazing.

It's good to see Los Campesinos on some of these lists. It's my favorite album of theirs even though it seems to be their least acclaimed.

I'll give this album a chance but I won't be surprised if this is the first Beck album I don't like. I think I'd be way less disappointed if this came on in 2014 (2013?) like it was planned at the time. When Gorillaz released The Fall in 2010 and I couldn't care less, it wasn't a big deal because I was still listening to Plastic Beach nonstop. When they released **googles Gorillaz because I already forgot the name of the album this year** Humanz this year and I couldn't get into it it was way more disappointing. The extra wait makes it more of a letdown.

I think a lot of people did. MMJ seemed to get even more mainstream recognition when it came out, and there were a few moments that I did enjoy on the album.

I figured all the people complaining about the new Arcade Fire songs were the same people hating on Reflektor. I liked the title track and I loved Reflektor. But listening to the album gave me the same feeling I had listening to Evil Urges - my initial positive impression quickly nosedived into utter disappointment. Here's to hoping Arcade Fire can rebound just like MMJ did on The Waterfall (or on Circuital which could be great for all I know - never bothered to listen because of how much I hated Evil Urges).

I had the Chromatics - "I Can Never Be Myself When You're Around" on a spotify playlist, and went to play it yesterday and it disappeared before my eyes. Was hoping the newer tracks disappearing might mean a surprise release was about to happen? Because I like to foolishly get my hopes up.

Sing Me Spanish Techno The Bleeding Heart Show Crash Years Challengers War On The East Coast Twin Cinema is easily my favorite album of theirs and Challengers is probably my least favorite, but it still really grew on me and the title track was a big reason why.

1. Gimme Fiction 2. They Want My Soul 3. Transference 4. Kill The Moonlight 5. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga 6. Girls Can Tell 7. A Series of Sneaks 8? I haven't listened to Telefono much or in a long time. Maybe I'll give it a few spins now and hope I at least have the reaction I had listening to the first Deerhunter album ("I thought this wasn't going to be good but it actually kind of is") It took me a long time to realize Gimme Fiction was my favorite, but any time I forget to listen to Spoon for a while, that's the album I go back to first.

I love that you do this. I think my favorite penultimate song you didn't list is Cymbals Eat Guitars - "Well". I'd be interested to hear what you think about Schoolboy Q's "Overtime". It's such a fucking dumb song on its own, but I think I actually like the way it fits in at the end of Blank Face, though I could see if it sours the album for some people.
