I know, but the next two albums (this and The Carters) aren't, while 4:44 which came after Lemonade still is. This leads me to believe Jay insists on keeping his albums Tidal-exclusive, but when Beyonce's involved they aren't

LOL quite the change from when the lead single was a Kendrick collab (which tbh was a game changer for me). Excited as hell to see this feature list!

New Pivot Gang (the collective Saba's part of) album also dropping this week! Saba is on every song and the singles have been pretty killer so really looking forward, especially since CARE FOR ME was last year's hip-hop AOTY

It's really good! I only knew the first album by these guys and was pretty indifferent to it, mostly because it didn't have any of the aggression of Bear vs. Shark that I was looking for, knowing Marc Paffi. This one is way better though - it still ain't BvS (it shouldn't be - it's another band!) but it has a lot of that same intensity in the vocals and I'm HERE FOR IT.

Since y'all are discussing emo here I might as well recommend you to check out the new I Love Your Lifestyle album. Extremely goofy name but it's pretty great!

Hard disagree! A Matt Champion solo release would be a guaranteed banger. Dom probably has some heat in him too. (Ameer's solo stuff was also really good, but we're not supposed to talk about that)

Here's my usual reminder that before Omni and Deerhunter, Broyles also played in the incredible and extremely overlooked band Balkans which released one of the best garage/post-punk albums of the past decade https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWTkaw1BGEg

this is really fucking good! even Antonoff doesn't manage to bring this down. glad to see the Brockhampton wave is still strong. How cool would it be if every one of those dates is a short EP from one of the Brockhampton boys??

This is a great song, but more importantly, this is a beautiful thing to read. I'm a huge Cave In fan and it's so important to me to see the other guys honoring his legacy and his time with them. Music is a really beautiful thing sometimes.

Well, nothing anyone here would be familiar with in the seeable future, but I did get to see local heroes/weirdoes Regel Sabres (translates to something like "Prickly pear leg") for the millionth time. They make great noisy indie rock somewhere between he Pixies and Pavement. Real good stuff! https://youtu.be/qKCmxIFqVJg

I enjoyed enough of Gambino's past material to be interested in his next offering, but if this is going to be some Becausr The Internet type of crap with the pointless self indulgent script and "concept" you can miss me with that bullshit. Just give us the tunes man

Exactly, I'm sometime amazed by how out of touch with the actual world this comment section tends to get. He's one of the best loved musicians in most social circles I am ot have been part of, from the rap crowd to the "music loving hipsters". Not to talk about the masses going to Coachella to see him. Come on.
