i think that was a misquote - there is a nigel tweet somewhere saying that he didn't say that
i love this band when they are worshipping brian wilson
irony of ironies - i didn't get the wrens when i checked them out once in high school and once college, but seacaucus clicked for me a few months ago bc i heard it was a more east coast emo guided by voices type sound. so now i am very excited for this aeon station record but assuredly have waited less time that 99.9% of people who care about it. im like someone who discovered loveless on january 1, 2013 or something.

jason lytle i love you please release this on a 7 inch
i LOVED atoms for peace, didn't everyone ? genuine question
if u dont have it there are rips floating around from their glastonbury performance and they are incredible
imo, what they are doing is simply a much better job aging that the Stones or U2 did
which version of Donda ? Livestream 1, 2, 3, Released or Deluxe ?
featuring q-tip ... meaning jack is taking one further step into hip hop than he did when he "didn't" (definitely did) rap on ice station zebra on his last record ?
new season of succession lit
update : cool, this sounds like one of those neil young worship songs that thom perfected on a moon shaped pool, nothing mind blowing but i like angsty thom from the mid 90s just as much as i like romantic thom
been waiting since high school to hear this and now must wait one more hour bc i am in a meeting
since it was released as an advance single in 2005
i started liking the strokes with 2 songs i downloaded on kazaa and listened to on windows media player. last year i listened to their new album on a perfectly synchronized skype call with two high school friends. so ya - the fandom i still have seems pretty crazy given how long its been - but i still love just as much. even comedown machine - which proves i like julian even when he doesnt try
u into the tuss at all ? those2 seem to be a reaction to drukqs bc they are anonymous (or were at the time) and they share the psychosis of drukqs but in a much simpler, shorter fashion
during the lock down i considered paying $300 for a copy of this on wax with no cover because i am the worst
there are some voices that just crush always for me. elliott smith, thom yorke - and laetitia is up there. wow
this and the colorized war documentaries are a great third act for peter jackson
yes !! bring us psychedelic pill 2 !!
just as exciting to me is the other part of the announcement which is the official release of that Queen Elizabeth bootleg show that everyone on rateyourmusic has been freaking out about for a year.
i love Low - am i the only one who found a LOT of what was great on double negative on their earlier record drums and guns ? i think it was from 2007
they downvoted me when i said it last week lol
hilarious clip “acute embarrassment” lol thom definitely should have been in ricky gervais’ extras - i was a but surprised at how good his timing was
oh man i am so old i first heard this record song by song on yahoo radio that my school's desktop computers didn't block
given the obviously fake beef between kanye and 50 cent when graduation was coming out in 2007, i have assumed this drake beef is completely fake and is a ploy between the two of them to just sell/stream more of their records. as a counter point - i wonder if either of them would be willing to risk not getting to number one because of the other one. also as a counter point -the existence of pusha t
can't wait for you to see them jim, its quite an experience. not sure if they always do this but both times i have seen them (2008 and 2012) dan snaith has played a second drum set like a mad mathematician and i mean wow
can't wait to see the limited (not limited) colored versions of these for $55 a piece
anyone wanna stan for favourite worst nightmare with me ? must have listened to side a of that 150 times in 2007
bc those are the kind of decisions you make with endless money and 17 years in the studio and hanging with buckethead
i think if they fully redid the album together it could be pretty good
1. wilco is good 2. i can’t remember but i dont think we have chosen a wilco song for song of the summer here - at least that i can remember 3. wilco does not have a new single out (a split with sleater kinney comes out later this week) 4. is that the song ur referring to ? modern girl ? 5. if so - is the joke that that is a bad choice ? or an obvious one ? 6. or are u mocking their album from last year ? it was pretty good and there are a lot worse choices than “white wooden cross” for song of the summer 7. or is it a joke about the site and its commenters ? i always see them having fun and embracing pop in conversations like these - at least in my experience 8. so, wait, what ?
if my count is correct its around 120
bought this cd in 2006 from i think virgin megastore in downtown chicago, saw them live with my wife at pitchfork music festival, they had a terrible time slot and were incredible, i think gruff wore a red biker helmet.
wow - after all the portishead rumors this is pretty meh. for context the last one had ween, devo, flying lotus in 3d, conqn mockasin, the locust and temples all in one day
can you read this sentence without hearing doug martsch’s voice ? the plan keeps coming up again
what a day we live in, taylor is now featured on the "indie record that is much cooler than mine."
