I remember a teacher once showing us Gregory's Girl in class. If you've not seen it, the very first scene of that is a couple of school kids basically teaching their friends how to be peeping toms with nudity thrown in to prove it works.
Meh, I saw this already. They wanted to go into the volcano to save Spock.
Already been remade. Did none of you actually watch Real Steel? Were you all to distracted by Jackman's pee?
"Neil deGrasse Tyson, the director of the Hayden Planetarium" I was wondering what happened to her after Heroes.
It's good to know that I'm not the only one out there sitting at a desk with mr. pricklepants...
I don't know why this replied to barth's comment rather than the thread. What's up with that? Was it my intolerance towards my hypothetical homophobic kid? Perhaps the kid would be big on mustard and holes...
In a strange way I kinda see where they're coming from because, personally, if I had a kid that grew up to be as moronically intolerant as these homophobic idiots then I would fucking despise that kid...
So now that I see that up here I realise that stuff like this just makes me rage into a boring old windbag
So let me get this straight. Some rich man who made me switch channels ten years ago is begging online? $10 to access a blog... Another $10 for a STREAM (not a download) and list of songs they are listening to with your money... Yet another $10 for a ticket to actually see the film you paid for (so $30 for a blog, stream and ticket)... Another $10 for a t-shirt... $20 on top of all that for a photocopy of whatever doodles or photos they've got lying around the office (or "art print" as they describe it - "framable" not framed) ... Another $40 and you can travel and talk to him (pay your own way because if you can throw $100 at this nonsense you can probably afford to travel to see him)... $25 on top of that and someone will scribble on your photocopy... $25 more (that's $150 if you can't keep count) and you get a graffitied dvd of some crappy old film... $250 dollars gets you the blog access, stream, ticket, t-shirt, photocopy and.... i'm struggling to type this it's so hilarious... a 15 second mp3.... Double that and the 15 second mp3 becomes a video... The list goes on and on... Why is it that nobody investing sees this as a giant con? Seriously, he'll make money without investing anything.
"Being witness to it not only makes me come alive, it enables me to maintain hope." So if a tweet falls in a forest and no one is around to witness it, does that mean Ian Somerhalder isn't alive or maintaining hope?
But surely she's still..... wait for it.... LEGALLY blonde!!!! Well somebody was going to say it. I'll get back in the car now officer....
Reckless driving, dyed hair, rape jokes and hanging out in squats... it's going to be harder this year for Sally to rebel against that kind of in-your-face punk attitude.
Well it's good to see that is the message he took from Chapter 27 - nutty fans are totally ok!!!
Except, of course, it's hard not to suspect who the cause of the legal problems might be....
I just realised that it's about 12 hours since this (I'm in the UK so most of that has been waking hours) and all I know about last night's oscars is that Paperman won animated short and they cut off a guy who was about to talk about serious issues in the visual effects industry. Finally, I've managed to successfully avoid the hollywood back patters without even remotely trying.
"I think the show's philosophy poses some interesting questions..." Was Tricia Helfer trolling the Battlestar Galactica fanbase? Such a Minerva! Also, This Is Working was the best Bob's Burgers song yet "Grind, grind, grind, grind...."
Maybe not $100 bills but it all adds up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enshnZsyXoA
"Spontaneous" is hardly the word to use about these groups. There are governments out there with less organisation that these folk.
"It’s always so thoughtless..." Exactly. Carpe diem is the motto of the selfish bastard.
I imagine the sheer difficulties involved in casting a band as dull as Starsailor explains why they are avoiding depicting his last production work...
Has anybody else seen this: http://www.tinnitus.org.uk/taw2013 Coincidence or is Kevin Shields just trolling British Tinnitus Association by putting this out this week?
I love that the article tells us that it "disappeared" at 2:30am, presumably because stating an exact time is an important fact that proves it was ghost, even though the time on the video says 3:1something. Of course, I'm just being pedantic (and ignoring the bright daylight or extremely wasteful out-of-hours lighting they use) because I think that it was actually abducted by UFOJFKELVISBIGFOOTNESSIEVAMPIREWEREWOLFHONESTPOLITICIANS. The government has known about them fo for years but is more interested in reaping the benefits of helping phone companies sell replacement phones.
The last scene in Archer with "Can we have the radio?". Just perfect. Well that and acoustic Kenny Loggins ringtone...
I was interested in when the video was from so I looked up the Pathé archive and discovered that it was 1953 but got distracted when I found this 1949 even scarier baby cage video: http://www.britishpathe.com/video/baby-cage-1/query/baby+cage THIS MAY BE THE MOST TERRIFYING BABY IN A ZOO CAGE ON THE SIDE OF BUILDING VIDEO EVER!!!
I'm sitting in Scotland right now and somehow a video of horses on an American website is the most teuchter thing I've seen all day. Yeah you've gone and looked up the word such is the power of being completely incomprehensible to the rest of the world
In fairness, anyone who reads this ad and thinks to themself "Hey! I'm wise beyond my years!!!" is pretty much the perfect candidate.
"his amazing seven consecutive Tour de France wins" Possibly the least appropriate use of the word "amazing" I've seen in a while...
Back in the 80s we called this Ulysses 31 and it was awesome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ0hIKAIuCI Was this just not big in the US?
As unnecessarily detailed titles go, Maggie Simpson in “The Longest Daycare” is surely our generation's Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire.
a day which also remarkably appears to coincide with day of boring narrow minded kids making ageist comments like "old fart" to dismiss anyone who doesn't fit in with their idea of what music should be on gum... also... GET OFF MY LAWN!!!
1072??? Now I'm not some purist and I don't mind doing something different with myths and legends but the thing is that unlike, say, King Arthur, Robin Hood is set in a very specific period - that of the reign of Richard or John, some time between 1189 and 1216. Is changing the dates something that their demographics research has turned up? Are the kids today just more comfortable with the series being set in the time of William the Conqueror? Did he just get them?
I take it when Dave offered to sing Paul just said "Get back to where you once belonged". I'll get my coat...
So I guess we're just going to ignore J Tillman's first 7 albums?
Seriously folks, there's still a month left!!! Any one of these people could have a sudden December boost. How can this list possibly be considered in anyway accurate?
Actor, Author, Choreographer, TV Host, Screenwriter, Lyricist, Director, Producer, Equestrian, Pilot, Educator.... If it wasn't for the fact that I spent today pretending to write a novel about my horse-based dance routines whilst hosting my self-scripted/directed/produced TV show (complete with the theme tune I wrote) from the cockpit of my flying school, I would have nothing much in common with James Lipton.
Jherek Bischoff - Composed.... not that anybody else seems to have listened to it...
HEY HOLD ON A SECOND ON THAT BEST ALBUM DECISION PEOPLE!!! Remember the year isn't over until Kevin Shields says it is....
Finally I understand why my parents didn't like Family Ties...
So is that artwork designed to dupe fans of death metal christmas songs?
