of Montreal's performance at Roseland back in October made me a disciple. I love these new tracks, I love of Montreal, I love B.P. Helium, I love Kevin Barnes. I want to be inside his mind. http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
yeah, i am looking forward to this for some reason. the appeal is definitely the fact that M.I.A. was mentioned. She is incredible. Hopefully, this album can have some aspects of the unique, catchy style of Maya's music. Oh, I hope it's good to dance to as well! PS I am so excited for the new Pixies. http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
wow, the crowd was loving it haha! i bet they appreciate a more into it crowd since they've been doing a lot of late night shows. plus KO looked like she was having a lot more fun :D yeah heads will roll wasn't extremely talk show performance friendly but it worked. http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
I can't WAIT! YYYs are BACK and ready to blow my mind all over again.
Karen O was adorable on SNL last night, she was so smiley. They were really great, I can't wait to see YYYs live soon. I wish I could come to the "secret" show... http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
i was so excited for now we can see to come out, im listening to the album now. it isn't the best album ever for them but they still are wonderfully catchy. they video is definitely not GREAT but it will do. the thermals aren't big music video people anyway. http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
wes' voice is just gorgeous i agree. i met him and allie after a show a while back in december too, theyre such wonderful people! i talked violin with allie and with wes about lyrics it was great. im seeing them on saturday, i cant wait! and yes, a new album definitely needs to come out soon! http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
well said, Medium Happiness. I think the lineup is fantastic actually. so many great, different bands. drinking is only a small bonus to me (i'm there to sing and dance to the songs of my favorite bands.) and yeah i don't understand why they think people want three nights of college humor. overall, i can't wait! http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
Ugh, not that great. I haven't heard the animal collective remix yet, but i bet that it isn't very good either. "Zero," and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in general, should not be remixed in my opinion. http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
haha hey! nice to see you on stereogum :D yeah we're pretty much on the same page lol. im most looking forward to hear more okley leslie stuff. hes on her N.E.E.T. label as well.
It's not bad. Not as epic as some of the songs on Mothers, Sisters, Daughters, Wives or Raised By Wolves but it'll do. I'm happy they're making music again though! http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
I've been looking forward to all artists signed under M.I.A.'s N.E.E.T. label but I feel like I've heard this song before, it seems pretty generic (Reminds me of Lil' Mama), but then again I have only listened to it twice. http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
lol i can almost agree with sitek. karen o already messed up during the times of Show Your Bones when she let herself get swept up in all that romance with her then boyfriend and let him help with the album :P i DEFINITELY prefer more guitar and drums, and not those stupid synths but im still excited about It's Blitz! When I first heard "Zero" and "Heads Will Roll" i was angry and disappointed. Then, I listened to it again. I played it at a party i was at, turning up my speakers as loud as they could go, and the songs took on a whole new sound! This is going to be an album to DANCE to and i can't wait to hear the whole thing and go to a YYYs show :D http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
I was okay with the synths as long as the YYYs new sound was fun to dance to and had a good sound, but "Zero" and "Heads Will Roll" are disappointing tracks. I'm sure they will grow on me but the melodies are too familiar and I miss Zinner's guitar. Hopefully there are some awesome songs on It's Blitz! http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
this isn't new at all, but at least it's another reminder that Justice is incredible :) http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
lol it is pretty shameless i suppose, but i really just want to get my writing out there in the world yknow? plus blogging helps me find new music which is all i really care about haha! thanks bumbox :D
i would definitely prefer to have Zinner back on guitar because his sound is just plain magical when hes rocking with his Fender. and when he helps to produce (like on Fever to Tell) their sound is incredible. I am more of a fan of Fever to Tell and Is Is than Show Your Bones and I don't like TVOTR influence or Blondie so this song seems to be working against me. It's growing on me though, probably because I absolutely adore YYYs. Hopefully, the other songs on the album are a bit more unique and have the loud, fast, dirty sound of Is Is and Fever to Tell. http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
oh, wow. i listened to the song and said to myself, "What's with his voice going all Muse-y all of a sudden in the middle of that whole Hives-type of melodies and beats," John, you and i are brain twins lmfao. http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
YES. Sick album cover for a sick album to come. I'm so excited! bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com
I mean...it's cute. I agree that it has a whole you-and-me-against-the-world statement. I've seen worse album art, but all that really matters is what it sounds like! http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
cute idea for a video but unless the youtube quality was the problem, it didnt seem too well made. or maybe im just picky :) ra ra riot makes beautiful music though! im going to see them live on april 4th! http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
wavves is awesome, i preordered the album a while back! http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
this is a great track, its so fun :D i'm going to be dancing to this asap PS i still miss his beard. but he's still adorable <3 http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
this music makes me LOL. it's ridiculous yet pretty awesome. the track stereogum has here is my faaave out of all their songs! bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com
the 'indie' label depends on the music they play, not the label they sign to. hell, the music industry is all about competition these days though. if they think they need to prove their indie-ness by "taking a stand" and "defending their unique, different, defiant sound" then whatever :P http://bonafidewithheadphones.blogspot.com/
