No shade at all. Dude is young. Probably only 10 when "1979" was released. How many 10 year old's you know investing in a record collection at that time?
Diggin the songs I've heard so far. Looking forward to the album.
Innervisions and Music of My Mind are in the top 5 so I'm good with this list. Music of My Mind is usually the forgotten child out of his 70s catalog. Good to see it get some love here.
via Pitchfork Wavves' Nathan Williams and Cloud Nothings' Dylan Baldi have released their collaborative LP No Life For Me on iTunes and bandcamp. It's out right now via Williams' label Ghost Ramp. That's the artwork above and the tracklist below. Update 6/29 12:11 PM EST: Wavves and Cloud Nothings are streaming the title track. Listen to it above. As previously reported, the album was produced by Sweet Valley (the beatmaking duo of Williams and his brother Joel) and features Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij. On Twitter, Williams answered a few questions about the album and his current plans for Wavves and other projects. He said a joint tour was "not likely" due to his and Baldi's schedules, though Wavves will begin a tour on September 1 and release a new album in August. Additionally, he said that while the collaborative album won't get a proper physical release, it'll be released on vinyl.
"Sticky Hulks" gave me sticky hands
LOL @ depressive Damon Albarn solo stuff. I dig depressive Damon Albarn solo stuff
Guess they won't have many rap concerts come through there. They better not allow Eminem to come either. He's done everything from killing the mother of his daughter to raping his mother.
Q-Tip produced 3 tracks and did a lot more uncredited production on other tracks. He was the backbone of the album actually. His interview with RBMA was very informative. He's very unselfish as we can see with the lack of credit he took for his work with ATCQ.
Like Water for Chocolate is great but Resurrection and One Day It'll All Make Sense are slightly better albums IMO.
It's cool. Nothing special. Not a fan of Party Supplies or Mark Ronson. He should have worked with Alchemist and Oh No more.
Always interested in any music coming from the Deerhunter camp.
I'm Black and I approve of this message.
“Like Spinning Plates” would be my choice.
Aww yes. Modern day Ice Cube "N!gg@ You Love to Hate" attitude. Two thumbs up K Dot. Let's get that album to the public fam.
I'm sure they've donated more than that to strippers. My community has to do better.
Blatant crossover attempt. Ye's longing for white acceptance is disgusting. I can already hear him crying at the Grammy's when he doesn't win one for this song.
Whoever made this list is not a true ATCQ fan. First off, the only song from album 5 that should ever be mentioned as one of their best is "Find A Way". Other than that, get outta here! Secondly, just because a song was released as a single does not mean it's one of their best. “I Left My Wallet In El Segundo”, “Stressed Out” and "Award Tour" wouldn't even be top 5 songs on their respective albums let alone top 10 all-time.
So Arca and now The Haxan Cloak. This is getting interesting.
Love it! Just mad that I can't purchase a physical copy until next week. Why does iTunes get first dibs?
As a Black man who digs rock, it always hurts a bit when a band you support are hateful. Damn this stung a little bit.
She hasn't aged well but Courtney was far from ugly. Not the hottest but far from ugly in the 90s.
1.3 mil first week. Safe to say she's not missing the few of you here.
Same people shitting on him have probably cheated on their mate as well. I love how we feel entitled to judge others when we aren't perfect ourselves.
Dude said "Bruh you can't sing this song, on a Wednesday, I beat that ass on the stage what yo crew say?"
This shit ridin. I'm headed home this weekend too. Good road music
Snoop been smashing on h**s for 20+ years. Nothing new here nor nothing to be outraged about. If you own a Snoop album you have no right to be upset.
Well that sucks! I was just thinking hey, a new Crystal Castles album should be coming soon. Guess not.
Guess i'm the only one interested in this album. I like what I heard. He needs to produce an entire LP for Sampha.
The sample is from The Isley Brothers. Had he said The Beastie Boys used this sample too, cool but that's not what was stated. Most of you that post here weren't around when Paul's Boutique was released anyway. If so, you were damn babies so you heard the album after the fact.
Nothing special as far as the beat goes. K Dot killed it lyrically. I did dig the beat change though. Looking forward to the album. Hopefully the major label let some of those FlyLo joints make the cut.
You must be young so you're excused.
I'm right there with you and it's def better than Reflektor so I'm not understanding this graph at all. Neon Bible is a good as record.
She can tweet whatever she wants but she let fans dictate the type of music she should make.
Grimes noticed all the negative reactions to “Go.” And in fact, she’s scrapped the entire album she’d been working on, saying that the new album “sucked” and that, since then, she’s “started again.” Sounds like the fans reaction to "Go" caused her to change the direction of her new album.
So instead of doing what's in her heart she's gonna let fans dictate her next move and force her to do Visions Pt II. SMH
