94 was such a great year for rap. Nas, Kast, Biggie, Gang Starr, Redman, Common, Pete & CL etc.
CDs or vinyl only. If you have a digital only release, It won't be bought by me.
Loving the first half. I need to give the second half another spin. It didn't really grab me much.
What's wrong with LP1?
1. kid a 2. ok computer 3. in rainbows 4. amnesiac 5. the bends 6. hail to the thief 7. king of limbs 8. pablo honey
Dope! Not sure why Rihanna passed on this. Kinda glad she did though. Grimes owns this joint!
Only second to The Low End Theory. Great f*cking album!
Def their best LP. Perfect beginning and perfect ending. Best rap album ever made.
So they want $12 for 22 minutes of music? No thanks! It'snot that good.
Would You Fight For My Love? just earned pre-order status
This is a rap album, right? Why the hell is Thought, one of the best emcees in the game, on less than 50% of the album? Makes no sense to me.
I'm sure the album will be great but the album covers almost make me not want to purchase it. Horrible choices.
"Change Your Mind" made me preorder the album.
That apology came quick as hell. I hate how often current artists apologize for things they say. If you say it, stand by those words. And lmao @ Rihanna having an insane voice . What lean was she sipping when she made that statement?
Two great LP's two weeks in a row. Illmatic and then Southernplayalistic... I miss the good old days.
That joint with Dre3000 is the new anthem!
Its cool for what it is. Nothing special. Just some fun music to ride to.
The little jabs at Dylan Baldi are unnecessary but Jason is a kick ass drummer! Lovin this album!
LOL! Don't blame him. Remember, we all look alike.
Has to be a lot of payola going on for this YG. He's getting good reviews all over from what I've read but the album is not good. DJ Mustard is overrated as a producer. 90% of that album sounds the same. I'm shocked at the positive response it's getting. Guess rap music is in a bad place after all.
I can barely hear it but I can tell it sounds better than the last album.
Yep, glad I pre-ordered this album!
Good album. I'm surprised it's being slept on. Hopefully people will begin to discover it throughout the year.
Track 2 is my favorite after my first listen.
Jon Hopkins is attached to the "Midnight" song. Not sure if he worked on the rest of the album though.
This shit is good but it's cool to hate on these guys because they're too popular. I'm getting the album. 2 for 2 in my book.
Cudi just needs to stop producing his own shit and get back with Plain Pat and Emile. Hopefully we see this happen on MOTM3.
I miss Meg. She had the best set of...
The singing is terrible. Especially on "Hunter". That joint is laughably bad. Pharrell is my dude but I will be passing on this one. I like "It Girl" and "Freq" w/JoJo. That's about it. The album sounds rushed.
Beck's album is good but he kinda played it safe. I expected more after a 6 year break. St. Vincent's album is good. That Neneh Cherry album produced by Four Tet is good too.
Pharrell is my dude but this album is weak. Maybe 3 decent songs out of 10.
Album is getting pre-ordered now!
My bad. I didn't even notice the down votes. We're on the same page though.
Lol I'm not down voting it. I just wish rappers would trim the fat on some of these LP's. We don't need over an hour of music and that's minus the bonus tracks. I pre-ordered the album though. Tomorrow can't come soon enough. I think Q used a Portishead sample on H&C too. Either he or somebody in that camp is a big Portishead fan as am I. I'm sure Geoff would be proud of the sample use here.
Its good but not great. A few of these songs could have been left off like "Studio", "The Purge" and "Hell of a Night". Other than that, joint is nice! "Hoover Street" and ""Prescription/Oxymoron" are excellent!
Too bad they never made another good album.
