Holy shit this is so good. This is probably way too hot of a take, but this already feels like a bigger album than anything in 2021. There were some great albums last year, but this feels like an instant classic.

I haven't really enjoyed much beyond Chaise Lounge and Wet Dream. With that being said, they haven't released many songs as a band yet, and the fact that I enjoy two of them immensely is a great sign. I'll definitely be keeping them on my radar.

I'm slightly biased due to The National being my favorite band of all time, but it's amazing how many quality tracks come from this band. Style wise, this isn't anything groundbreaking, but it's a beautiful piano backed trackwith the boys back together. I would argue it's on par (or just slightly below) I think You Should Wait or Exile Vilify for other songs on soundtracks. Totally agree with Turd though, I need those Devendorf drums back in my life soon.

Alex Cameron rules. Sara Jo reminds me a little bit more of the style of Forced Witness which is far and away my favorite album by him. Miami Memory has continued to grow on me though since it came out, but Forced Witness is keeping that #1 spot in my heart.

I think lots of people are just exhausted from Kanye’s antics, without getting the same quality of music output that he had in the past. Donda was a fine album, but over saturated and even the best songs don’t touch his past musical output. With your comments about artists not being able to tour, and general snarkiness in your first comment about the article not being up to your standards is why you’re getting downvoted. Artists are still doing some great things, so maybe move beyond the a-list rappers that have released some overrated albums.

I don’t think it’s a crazy take, but I would disagree personally. I am Easy to Find’s high points are way higher than the self titled. I do agree though that I Am Easy to Find is a little long, and has the filler instrumental tracks that aren’t overly necessary, but Quiet Light and Not in Kansas are two of my favorite National songs of all time.

My favorite band’s least favorite album. There are some great songs on this album, but it just doesn’t hold up compared to their other albums. American Mary, Beautiful Head, and Cold Girl Fever still enter my rotation on a regular basis though!

After one full listen, I love this, and I think it’ll continue to grow on me even more over time… super impressed by the Killers. After Battle Born and Wonderful Wonderful I kind of had written them off, but with this album and Imploding the Mirage they’re BACK!

Really disappointed to see that no songs off of Call Me If You Get Lost made the list... I think it suffered from having a ton of great songs, and not one consensus summer hit like we may have seen with EARFQUAKE off of Igor.

The Home is Where album has probably been my most played of the year so far... Assisted Harakiri and Long Distance Conjoined Twins are phenomenal. Super cool to see that album up so high!

I know it's only one spot, but The National above the Strokes definitely surprises me. I'd rather see The National personally, but I feel like the Strokes are a bigger draw for casual music fans
