Hey now, the first two Daughn Gibson albums (plus the "Lite Me Up" single!) rule, but let's not drag the good name of Speedy Ortiz through the mud here.
I think about the "They should have never let Cena spit with Wiz Khalifa" lyric at least once a week. I love it. Arguably one of the truest things ever rapped.
Count me in the Laughing Stock > Spirit of Eden camp, but both are obviously incredible. Going straight through those two and into the solo album is two hours of transcendence.
Also, I will forever find it absolutely nuts that his final released piece of music was for the Kelsey Grammer vehicle Boss. That's up there with "Orson Welles is Unicron" for bizarre final works.
And the article could exist nearly unchanged if it was titled "Travis Scott's #1 Song and #2 Album And The Storied History Of Chart Chicanery." No one cares.
You're wrong because it's completely irrelevant whether or not she cheated on her boyfriend. If Hall pressured her into cheating, that's wrong regardless of how she reacted. There's no situation in which she could have done something that would have made his actions right.
If you're approaching Billy Corgan at an airport to complain about a concert from 24 years ago, you are creating a situation involving 2018 Billy Corgan in which you, not he, are the asshole. This is not a move you want to make.
There we are! After a handful of listens, fairly confident calling this his best album yet. Though that's a bit of a tough call, since he's so consistent in both tone and quality. Still, this is great.
Weirdly, the Billboard article omits one of the most damning quotes from the Pitchfork story:
"'If I told him I didn’t like something, it only made him want to do it more,' Berry wrote in an email. 'I had no idea what was to be expected, and once it started I had no way to end it.'"
That's not just innocent rough sex.
Does anyone know if Ski Mask The Slump God is still associated with him? I liked his last album but I don't really want to support anybody who associates with XXXtentacion.
The actual New Times article is so depressing. His victim has endured such near-unimaginable abuse, just to come out it facing ceaseless harassment from his legion of fans. Christ, the last lines are so brutal. His popularity is actively continuing to ruin his victim's life.
Before hearing this Sorry song: Chromatics were robbed
After hearing this song: well I still feel like Chromatics were a little bit robbed but whatever, everyone gets robbed sometimes. It's chill.
I think Grimes should date whoever she wants to date! Here's hoping she's having a good time and living the life she wants to live!
That said, there's never a bad time to bring up that Elon Musk is a gross union-buster who thinks sharing public transit with poors is icky and possesses a nauseating personal fortune! XOXO have a great weekend everyone
