AND on Nas' release day too. Ether 2: Electric Boogaloo incoming
It's mid-June and "Torrent The Shit out of This New Tidal Exclusive Content" season is finally here
First track sounds like a possible FlyLo beat
I mean it would be a little weird to hear a rap verse about Black Panther on an otherwise unrelated album
Real Estate is one of my favorite bands and I am ALL IN for what you just described. First track kicks ass so far!
This is so good!! The best out of the four singles and basically the best Gorillaz song since DoYaThing. I love this! I also wish there are no more singles from this album because 4 is way too much
I want to use this comment section to publicly apologize to myself and J Brekkie for missing out on Soft Sounds From Another Planet last year. I wasn't that into Psychopomp so I skipped that one, just to randomly stumble into it on Spotify in late January, and it's one of my most-listened albums of this year so far, and it absolutely incredible, definitely one of 2017's best. Thanks for the amazing tunes, Michelle!
one of the best bands in the world releases a new single and there are zero comments? fuck they deserve so much more. Not crazy yet about the way the vocals are clean and on top in the verses but everything else is incredible as always. This band has the best guitar sound I've heard in years. I can not stretch enough how amazing of an album am is, and I wish everyone that reads this site at least checks it out. so excited for tru.
Also he made Lean On which is one of the best pop songs of the decade
The EP he released earlier this year is actually pretty effing good. Recommended!
I'm listening to it now and it indeed an incredible song. Wish I knew about this band earlier! This is amazing stuff to listen to on a year where both La Dispute and Touche Amore are apparently on a break. Thanks! (New song's also great!!)
I too like New Bermuda more than Sunbather (haven't heard their first one), but I fucking LOVE those two new singles. It has the best sounds of both albums. Can't wait to hear the rest!
Canary Listen obviously stands for Canary Yellow y'all. damn.
Lots of interesting releases coming up. Culture Abuse should be pretty fun. And I'm probably alone in this but I really want to hear some new Chromeo, I used to love these dudes a lot. In the meantime going to blast Canary Listen ad infinitum
Still haven't listened to that one!! I can't wait!! Devil Is Fine is an incredible record
True! Daytona comes very close but this one is a lot more interesting musically
That song is insane, for real. It shouldn't work but it really does. These ad libs (if you can call them that?) give me chills and Cudi's one line is a magnificent hook. Damn
Correct #1 pick!! I would pick Hangout at the Gallows as the FJM track and also place it at probably #1 of the year so far, but then again I've been living with this song in my head for over a month now
And so is the last track with the Cobain sample!! This is really fantastic
Kids See Ghosts (the song, which for some reason on Spotify is currently mislabeled as Fire) is incredible
The whole soundtrack is available for me on Spotify except for the FJM track. What gives?
Could've been the number one if he went with "whAT ABOUT WOLF ALICE"
but please don't actually sit in the same room if you are going to have the conversation in slack, that is a really depressing image :(
Well, it has happened, and I finally agree with Tom on something: that Bob Marley flavor is fucking great
Ah fuck, I feel stupid now. I just went back to Humility and it is, in fact, great. Apparently it just requires actually paying attention to the song and not to Jack Black's shenanigans. Doubly excited for this album now!
Oh damn!! This is so good! The other two singles didn't make an impression but this one properly sounds like Plastic Beach-era Gorillaz, which is so so great. I love it!
Oh wow!! So much to dig into, so excited to hear some new J Vernon songs. Currently listening to the Big Red Machine EP and it is fantastic so far!!
"Just One More Party in LA, But I'm Done After That One, I Promise"
Hangout at the Gallows is slowly but surely becoming my favorite FJM track. Also can't believe I'm not around for Primavera this year. World's best festival, probably
Exactly what I wanted to do! Went immediately to check where it placed and was surprised to not see at all. Fantastic video and all around great track
Y'all keep talking about how Ye just did this shit on his own as if to imply Push had no say or was objecting to that. In the interview when he first mentioned Kanye changing the album art it didn't sound like he objected to it, he seemed to be cool with that decision. He's a well established artist, there has to be a reason why he's cool with that kind of shit. and if he trusts Ye than what can I say
Nas was at the Wyoming listening party, so I don't think he's distancing himself or anything. Also Pusha keeps talking about this album happening and based on the past couple weeks I'm willing to take his word for it
TKOL has Bloom, Lotus Flower, Give Up the Ghost and Separator, so it's definitely not "bad music"
Yeah, RAM is really not all that. It had some very good tracks and a lot of filler, and I don't think I've listened to it in full even once post-2013. I don't know how it became heralded as their masterpiece in a world where Discovery exists
Electric Body is the shit, the Q feature is phenomenal. All the ones you mentioned are my actual favorites, I'd throw Wavybone and Holy Ghost in as well as hits. Testing has maybe two or three songs going for it, and it's such a shame because the feature list is stacked, but there's no flow to that album at all
