I'm going to stick up for the artist (https://www.instagram.com/jabbathekid/) here. Yes, these two have a very similar aesthetic, but there's a whole faction of the internet making art in this style. I don't think the artist meant to plagiarize.
I just love everything about this. Super looking forward to the album, too. Also, is this the album artwork? Because I really hope this is the album artwork.

I agree completely. Arcade Fire has always been about big cathartic payoffs at just the right time. Having a stadium full of 20 somethings all dressed up with lights strung from the ceiling and DJs made everything feel like prom. They actively tried to disorient their fans for the whole show. Everyone running back and forth between two stages where the band performed. I don't think there could have been a more beautiful moment than during that tempo change in "Wake Up" with confetti and streamers everywhere. It was a total party.
Am I the only one bothered by the line "I prefer your love to Jesus?" It's just really cheesy. That's my only scruple with the overall very solid album.
Besides some obvious skip-able songs, Artpop is pretty good. I don't see why it's getting panned, when it is certainly better than the shit show that was Born This Way. Do you REMEMBER how dumb that album art was?
This is obviously satirical, so it's more of a social comment on others artists who are guilty of cultural appreciation. Why does she have to explain herself in any way, then?
I have a feeling this is going to be AM!'s breakout album. They've always done raw and emotional, and now they can add super personal on top of that. Should be the ingredients for a fantastic release!
I really hated Congratulations at first, but eventually I grew to like it (maybe even better than Oracular Spectacular.) I also really hate the self titled so far, but maybe it will grow on me in the same way. Orrrrr, maybe it really is shit.
