Indeed, I think Die may be my personal favorite, though Vomit is ridiculously cool even if I thought I was listening to some unknown Pink Floyd track at the end.
I love her voice. I think partially why I like her album (granted not the best of 2011 by a good bit) is that for once it is something extremely popular that I can listen to and think, "this is quality music." Unlike Lady Gaga and Britney which, while I love both, I completely understand the indie blog music community hating upon them vigorously. --just why I like Adele, probably entirely unhelpful to you.
Again, no Wild Beasts and worse, no M83. Unacceptable. I guess I'll have to go listen to my top 5 and solace myself.
Okay, looked up the definition. I was off, I am actually not a lamestreamer. If I was, I'd listen to Radiohead and NMH with much gusto.
I guess I am a "Lamestreamer". I am not up to date on my street lingo so I am not sure what it means, but I am guessing it is along the lines of: someone who seeks out music they like, not keeping their knowledge to just the radio, and listens to music they like; that's me.
So hot. Mind blown.
Got to see this at the Black Cat first day of the tour. It was magnificent. One of the best experiences in my entire life.
I think I actually prefer the Wild Beasts remix of You and I. Maybe because I really like the original Marry the Night and not the original You and I?
Zooey and Kim are going to move to NY and get married. I see it now.
Isn't that what lists are for?
zooeyzooeyzooey christmas to you too.
Great song. Sweet video. Love Beyonce.
This song is totally cool. First song on 4 that truly stuck out.
I'm still undecided on it. It's one thing to be a lazy fucker living in a shit hole eating McDonald's all day. It's quite another to be educated, only finding minimum wage work and trying to provide for a family. I feel like those at the Occupy Wall Street are comprised more of the latter group. They are right, there is a problem between government and corporation, regardless of their ignorance and shortsightedness as you say.
Doesn't get much classier than this.
I suppose the assumption is that when reviewing, you talk about the music, which they clearly did; in part, by comparing to The Reminder, as it would seem is easy to do when you read the following sentence from this review, "Almost every track on Metals could fit comfortably onto The Reminder." What else is there to know if you've heard The Reminder?
I know this isn't related to this at all, but because I've got no cool friends, just wanted to say here: how about that Brandon review on P4K for a BNM given to Wolves in the Throne Room??? Holy shit. Never expected to see them give one to an atmospheric black metal band like WiiTR. Too cool.
I love you guys for these.
The pic above makes me think of Alisha from Misfits.
I could go into this in depth as your question made me psychoanalyze myself; but, to put it simply: I wasn't sure what Use Your Illusion was and saw that it had a lot of comments so I figured I'd find out.
Is it okay that I've never attempted to listen to GNR? I don't plan on attempting either.
Not entirely sure why they did this, but some of those models and outfits were just stunning.
La Dispute is not bad, but June Paik is where it's at. So good.
Austra is sexy. Check out their video for Beat and the Pulse as well.
I'm thinking I rely way too much on P4K and Stereogum because I am wondering where all these people know about groups being left out. I suppose it would help if I went to shows.
they trip everyone out.
I believe I saw positive comments on the Hurry Up, We're Dreaming pre-evaluation. Also, love the avatar.

Reading these comments I feel very uncool for liking this. Oh well.
As soon as Jessica left I knew Best Videos of the Week needed to come back. Anyway, Youth Lagoon has yet to disappoint. That video is...quite something. Well done Mr. Williams.
As if I wasn't obsessed with Zooey over the holidays enough with Elf. Yes, she is my kryptonite.
I thought I thumbed up a duchessofthomyorke comment this week. Must have been that one. I agreed in that I wish I was still in college listening to M83 on my campuses requisite "Quad".
Without a doubt. I bought Born This Way so...if I don't buy this I should probably just shoot myself.
I had a bit of difficulty following this, but it seemed to me that what Justin dislikes is MTV, and that they are solely about the money. Being only about the money to Mr. Vernon keeps one from doing actual work on earth--they do work, but there's no soul to it: just an empty shell. I can't disagree. Major props to you Justin. I probably read this wrong though.
Is it bad that you want to be that kid so bad you cry while watching this video? Of course, that didn't happen to me. Purely hypothetical...
Okay, I've listened to it now. It's still remarkably good; but, I'm just not feeling it like House of Balloons. HoB was like an immediate eargasm. Thursday is requiring more listens to have one.
I'm stoked just having it downloading. I can't imagine what it's like to actually listen to.
