Yeah, I have to echo the Vedder sentiment. Aside from just his whole ridiculous awesomeness, he spawned a whole generation of shitty alt-rock imitators. Not many singers today are trying to be Axl Rose, but everyone wants to be Eddie Vedder.
I feel like the song could be completely different if I heard it in different quality. But it sounded like a non-album Coldplay track...really catchy, kind of bland, with a seizure-like head-bobbing beat. I can dig it.
Promising track, something definitely different. I like that it doesn't try to be so epic like a lot of X &Y. And dude, seriously, get off them already.
It's a step in the right direction, not the same beat as Clocks that plagued like all of X&Y, and sounds kind of built for giant concerts. With all that said, I still can't figure out if I like it or not...
Don't most bands have EPs before LPs? So this is technically their first album? So how would they evolve from non-existence? I think that just because they dragged out their opening by waiting to release a proper LP, people (ie everyone above) are going to be disappointed because it's the same. But how is it the same as nothing?
Ok: I'm 18 years old, can someone please explain to me his and Pavement's significance and where one can go to get some type of context? Props on the Nickelback bash.
