It's a great little album, and the last one I can enjoy soup to nuts. I'd love him to return to that sound but, clearly, he's not going to. Remember those few singles he released in '13 that were also awesome??
Bingo. This whole JESUS! angle is merely Kanye's latest move, and a thinly-veiled attempt to curry favor with a community he nearly-unanimously offended last year when he proclaimed Trump his brother.
I don't know, y'all. I guess the whole nu-j&b thing just has a very limited mileage for me. Not that it's bad, just doesn't quite scratch the itch. HOWEVER, I'm happy to report that the new projects by Billy Woods and L'Orange/Jeremiah Jae are fantastisch and well worth your time, if you like less sugar in your jam.
Agreeing with all of this; She can easily change her creative output if she feels it's morally reprehensible or no longer representative of the direction she wants to take artistically. And if you're worried about being taken seriously, well, perhaps don't fellate dildos in your music videos. There has to be more beyond what she's presenting to us. And yes, Prenup is her best track.
Man, people are sleeping on Sand. Dude has been top tier for years. Really disappointing, but not surprising, that nobody here has jumped on this yet. But it's great, and I'm super excited to finally get another long-player from him.
This was my first exposure to SFA. I saw the videos for Fire In My Heart and Do Or Die and thought, "What the fuck IS this band?" Scooped up a copy of this and have been, well, do or die since. Somethings Come From Nothing.
In 2019, more people have willingly listened to Billy Ray fucking Cyrus over Miley Ray Cyrus. Now I am no Miley fan, not in the slightest, but this is absolutely unacceptable. I blame YOU people for this. You know who you are and when the revolution comes you will not be spared.
