Whoa. You're both out of line. Coulter came to UConn in the early 70s and spoke eloquently to the student body, which I guess called her a naziette and shouted her off the stage
This dude needs to run for Prez on the Dem ticket, or a new party, in 2024
Of two minds on Wayne rn. On one hand he's jumping on the "podcasting" bandwagon, which is really just celebs getting high on YouTube right now. Somehow, he's just doing like 5min interviews with his boys and getting in the news every day now. And the interviews, even if it's like 7min with Skip Bayless, are so good. Because Wayne can get to the heart of something while staying easygoing, and simultaneously has no patience for time wasters or idiots. Ok, guess I'm just of one mind on him. He's the man.
VROOOOOOM
Geometrically hard as fuck. I think the hand is gripping that middle noodle.
Dude this dialogue is cracking me up
RIP. This is just terrible. My first thought is everyone is too gung ho right now. Partiers wanna party, students, wanna get laid, and cops want to use unnecessary force. It sounds like these power tripping pieces of shit wanted something to overreact to, and killed another black man in the process.
What if Pitchfork reads this and immediately offers her the Editor In Chief position, thinking she's their new Mark Richardson?
Ahhhh. I feel like I just Lana Del Rey'd. Just another example of an artsy person making generalizations about stuff they know nothing about.
X Æ A-Xii ex-ash-ey-ex-ay-ay just rolls of the tongue doesn't it?
Dude, that was epic!!! He's gonna get his ass kicked by her
Gonna be a year before anyone figures out how to pronounce it
You may be right. I just started hearing it on ESPN this year. One time when the really hip dude from Baltimore said it, I just thought it was a pun off butt raped. I'm probably totally off base.
I'll let that slide. However something much more sinister just came to me, regarding your work. Was thinking about your proposition that songs are not about the actual singer. I saw you bringing it up a few times. "Why does cp keep bringing up this issue?," simmered in my mind. I've come to the 311 type epiphany. cp must be the teacher who printed out the lyrics to Drowning by A Boogie With A Hoodie and Kodak Black. It's the only logical explanation. He must have been making the same argument to parents for a few tense weeks, hence the argument's nuance and thoroughness.
Editors note: the writer of this comment actually made a lyric recently that also used fucking in the ass more figuratively, possibly negatively. Writer of this comment is also a huge hyprocrite. Bundle of contradictions if u will. Cute bundle, on tinder but still. Huuuge hypocrite
Pole dancing seems also just for a way for women to build up their upper bodies, butts and legs, so it seems like skateboarding, maybe art and exercise/athletics.
Just wondering, when is being fucked in the ass going to stop being a pejorative. Just because it doesn't impregnate a woman doesn't mean it's not pleasurable and naughty. The most holier than thou industries are the most backwards. People in music, film, sports industries are constantly using gay euphemisms in a negative way, and rape euphemisms in a casual way. Just stuff like I can't get you that PDF the city is so far up my ass right now, or, the yankees were boat raced 6-2 by the chicago white sox last night. They're almost always the worst offenders of the discrimination they decry. So what I'm trying to say here is they all hypocrites, we can't have jokes anymore, and I'm way woker than everyone.
Karen joke that I blame on all of you. Was reading LDR comments and someones like oh Karen want on a tirade. Thought they were talking about Karen O.
Taken from one of the funniest standups I've ever seen, a local dude: "I tried doing yoga the other day. I walked in, someone said Namaste to me. I walked out."
Good on them. Karen's been getting RIPPED by the press over the last week or so.
I echo moonjock. I think it's the fact that the poems singers sing, the lyrics if you will, are more often than not autobiographical. At least in aspects. I think like Tom says it's hard to rhyme bro, and do it a lot. So most people who pick up a guitar or piano (good luck) I think tend to start with, "damn my foot hurts / I sprained my heel working in dirt" kinda couplets, then eventually get the balls to write about more and more personal stuff. And even when a song is written about a specific character, the songwriter's worldview is all over it.
Plus the live band hits every single groove Parker composes
but if they qualify stubborn with "as a mule" they usually pretty dope
Well we are all definitely Iron Lion Zionists here, but I'm not sure that's what you mean?
Cool, my aimless stoner years have turned ten. Good to know!
Schaudenfreude aside, one of the most entertaining sagas during the virus has been Young Chop just bugging out on everyone. And now his recent single's stuck in my head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4umE2rnrBc I quoth: "I just wanna muck on Doja Cat Or give me lizzo, I wanna hit that big witch from the back" One, is he even making the beats anymore? It's hot but diff sound. Two, can you IMAGINE lizzo hearing this for the first time? She probably laughed her ass off whole song at his confused ass rhyme scheme.
Oh my god this is hilarious. Gonna have to go back and watch that listening party
God that makes me want to listen to this a few more times. Hey Ya as a genre. Such a cool concept, but I agree, Happy killed it. Slayed it. Not like the death of autotune, but like actually made the genre disappear. Happy almost destroyed all of pop music or possibly all music in general IMO. One of the worst songs ever written.
This is great. Not at all what they sounded like when I saw them around 2010, I think. They were more atonal then, this HITS.
True, but I think Rettig is getting at how hilarious these white rappers are. First MGK with that Oasis cover now this. I used to totally get so pissed about the site's snark. But Rettig holds the weekend reporting the fuck down by delivering it with some attitude. I know others contribute too, but it's Rettig's stuff that always sticks out. Not sure if you remember but at one point even Brian Williams was talking shit to Scott about how fallow the site got on weekends. Didn't work out so well for Williams but I was on his side! Another thing I respect about Mr. Rettig is he sticks to his guns. He's opinionated and doesn't budge. But yeah, I'm usually the one talking shit, getting SuD pissed about snark.
that's good people right there
DEVO rule, was just watching them jam with Tony hawk and jack black... they still have the dry wit and musical chops
