I laugh at all the people who took this statement literally. Granted sarcasm cannot be understood from my previous message, I still find it personally entertaining to see others referencing it. In all seriousness *since this is Stereogum* Radiohead reached their peak at OK Computer, albeit it was a very high peak. They have been able to drop pretty good albums since then and this one is no different. Good Day.
Well I for one believe this is better than "Kid A"
Leave that kind of reporting to MTV with the rest of the music filth out there.
It wasnt that bad...it was terrible! Great Bhudda!
Dear Stereogum, I hope you aren't messing with my heart like the last time we heard of a supposed new track. *Cough* “Beginning Of The End” *Cough*
Somehow pictured this to be more grand but honestly NIN returning does not excite me in the least bit anymore.
I've learned not to keep my expectations high with this band since FIoE and I'm glad otherwise this would have been very painful...
Loving the sound of "Taken For A Fool" and not diggin the sound of "Metabolism" That is all.
The only successful solo project was "Little Joy" the rest were mediocre. And why is everyone getting all wet for a 30 second clip?
Well it was good while it lasted. Jack is still playing in other bands and thats really all I could ask for.
Comparing Stereogum to Microsoft...how does that work?
Hopefully they return to their debut style like in "Beware of the Maniacs" Their unique acoustic sound had faded greatly in their last album.
That was one of the best sketches I have ever seen. Ezra shouting profanity was the icing on the cake! But truth be told, The Black Keys have won the "Sell-Out-Off." They have had way more music in commercials than Vampire Weekend.
The only real loss are the Fratellis and Wolf Parade and as it stands right now, both bands have stated they are only on hiatus.
Nice to see Coconut Records
The only merch I would be willing to buy of Daft Punk are the helmets but unfortunately they go for $65,000
I agree. Where is the Black Keys?
I remember Stereogum did the highest/lowest rated comments of the year. I thought I would be a shoe-in for the lowest rated comment this year but then upvoting and downvoting was restricted to registered members only. Now I have to work at it in every story that catches my fancy.
Against the Black Keys...I dont think so.
A very big mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh to this list.
Underwear for a boombox? That homeless man was ripped off.
I like Spike Jonze but I hate his methods of trying to convey meaning...in the end you just end up with a lot of morons saying "Well I think...." "This means that..."
Ladies and Gentlemen, today is a good day.
I am at a cross roads...I equally dislike both of these two people.
I like the Gorillaz. I like Damon Albarn. That is all.
Possibly the best comment on Stereogum ever.
Being on a list of cool people makes you totally uncool. It's the way these things work.
Crystal Catles heh...anyways finally a video for one of the greater tracks on the album. Just drop a Pap Smear video and it'll be done.
She handles this genre quite beautifully. Nicely done Karen O.
I see what you did there Ignatz. Good Ass Job!
Bob Dylan is a true character. Nuff Said.
I agree. But my vote goes for Stevie Ray Vaughan simply because it is past due.
Do something in Los Angeles and then I'll care.
