Also: AVATAR IS BACK THX 'GUM, I feel like myself again, but when will I get to narcissistically check my profile and comment history to see all my glorious comment upvotes?
Decent song, Bronson never slips up, but the beat is super boring tbh. Chance's verse is great, "I hope there's always...... snow in your driveway" hilarious.
RJ, Your comment in editor's choice was beautiful, I almost teared up :').
What a great analogy.
Shout out to your mimi and the infinite jam of life :).
M thoughts EXACTLY.
Although, I live on the east coast of Canada, but this is seriously the only showcase I've seen that I have been so excited by that I would actually consider going to and feel empty about because I know I can't go.
I play "Debra" for everyone who gives me the chance. It's my favourite Beck song tied 50-50 wth "Lost Cause", both are great for different reasons and are completely different sides of the dude, but I couldn't dream of ranking one over the other.
Yeah really though, it is a pop album that is everywhere, in terms of tweets, gifs, tumblr posts, etc. etc. Beyonce is inescapable, but I really don't see it as having any influential effect on much music being made, her album is a result of influence from trap producers, etc. It is very much a product of the time and is following the trend, not leading it, lets not kid ourselves here.
Yo man all respect to Kanye (and I'm a fan), but fuck him for saying Beck should give his award to Beyonce because she is a real artist, as if he is not.

guys how do you delete a CBS interactive account. I made one because I wanted to stream some of it online but it didnt help and now I cant delete it :(
I have more to say actually, Lol.
Re-listening to "The Whale Song", I feel like its the closest the band have come to their old sound in the more recent period, great song.
Final note, I just remembered how much I love their b-side compilations ("No One's First and You're Next" withstanding), I think I'm going to put "Building Nothing From Something" on repeat tonight.
I honestly just feel like they aren't working with good producers, they need to hit up Calvin Johnson again. I think the producers that they've worked with on their last three albums have had very clean and safe, poppy styles, that while maybe add a level of catchiness and appeal for wider consumption, it really has me aching for how natural and beautiful "Lonesome Crowded West" was.
I've also noticed that their tempos have slowed down over all, perhaps that comes with age, but I wished they'd throw me a bone every once in a while :(.
Chris, you sound like someone who makes silly presumptions and ignores the logical reality and instead attempts to make something about gender!
Just like someone would assume the same if Justin Bieber trademarked one of his own lyrics, a popstar like Swift has teams of smart people that manage her assets for her, there is NO way she has time to handle this stuff herself.
That doesn't mean she couldn't think of doing this, its just that its very unlikely that she would devote her time to conceive of and file trademarks for her phrases.
Pono is just a brand, sure its different than someone ripping a cd without compressing it, but the same thing can be achieved if artists sell 92khz/24bit or 192khz/24 bit .wav files. This problem only exists when someone buys a CD as the original source. This process of exporting these files really should add no cost to just the ridiculous price point they are setting on Pono. Pono's only benefit is the Neil Young has a ton of money and connections and will get access, but artists can and should do this themselves, websites like bandcamp already support it. The issue for me then is finding a player for this, that isn't Pono I suppose.
Ugh. No. For Courtney Love it was "haha" "wow thats horrible", and it would be no different for ANYONE. Now if the song was supposed to sound like that, that is another thing completely, but her playing her own song horribly has nothing to do with her gender. A lot of great points were made in this article, but that was a stupid moment to single out as a gender issue. C'mon.
Ye, I love the song "Pain".
Back in the limewire days I had it mislabeled as being a White Stripes song, one of the first songs by Jack White I'd ever heard, brings back fond memories. :')
