here's how this thread should be going:

Sea Lawrence: I am a trans person.
Everyone else: Clearly, I am not the authority here! Sea Lawrence, as a person who's lived through this and who, unlike most of us, actually knows a thing or two about it, please share your thoughts. We'll shut the fuck up for a second.
Dude, don't stop writing! Nobody is mad about your writing! You're not a bad writer! People are mad about the fact that you, rather than graciously accepting an opportunity that was handed to you, acted like a child about it when the same opportunity was handed to someone else. Be happy that Stereogum big upped you like that, and be happy that RJ was also big upped! That's all!
second of all: "but you’re writing style just isn’t up to par to be featured here"
YOU'RE writing style suxxxxx, dawg

I didn't realize AC had something coming out. I'm most siked for the Deerhoof/of Montreal split. I could give a shit about of Montreal but any new material from Deerhoof is reason for excitement.
I know I'm late here and everything, and I don't mean to bitch, but electronic music absolutely did not start with Kraftwerk, especially "in its most experimental form." It just didn't.
Nice post, but I respectfully disagree with the assertion that most of the press about B at NYU treated him as an outsider/curio or was approached from an angle of "what's this weirdo doing speaking at NYU?" Maybe we're just looking at different sites, but most of what I saw was genuine enthusiasm and excitement for one of the most well-liked dudes on the internet.
this was cool but it could have really used a snare on 2 and 4 at some point. the whole thing felt like a buildup with no payoff. could work nicely as part of a dj set, though.
