One of my friends on Facebook was like "Is the guy from Owl City the same guy from the Postal Service?" There you go. But then again I think Chris Walla sounds like a watered down version of Ben Gibbard. I think they all come from the Northwest coast anyway. Maybe everybody from that area sings the same and makes electronic music.
This pisses me off 'cause now I feel compelled to actually watch the movie.
Merida looks like "I don't know why I'm singing this song with you. You didn't ask me to sing it on the record!! Got that heffa Norah Jones instead. Pfft."
I hope Littlemore didn't quit. :[ I don't get how Without You relates to the other videos. I love how they remixed it. Hopefully they release this version.
I think the world has long realized machismo sucks, so there's no point in showcasing how manly you are. I would think someone as androgynous as Alice Cooper would understand that since he basically proved that it's okay for a guy to wear eyeliner.
This is a staff list so accrues different members' interests, I'm sure. Besides, Pitchfork's musical taste isn't the end-all be-all and neither is Stereogum's. Make your own lists.
I got that. I didn't like it though.
O this album is gonna be really good. Based on that guitar alone.
All the Michael Jackson haters should listen to "Childhood Theme" and give him the benefit of the doubt. While you're at it, read up on both molestation cases and you'll find that he was not found guilty on either. I'm sure many of you have been accused of something wrongfully and it stuck. It sucked, didn't it? Michael Jackson was a tortured soul and always looking for a proper childhood, which got him in trouble sometimes but I really think he was a good guy. Rest in peace indeed.
Did he just spit? They're still bad *ss. They've just grown up. Caleb's voice has gotten better. The songs on their newest album are indicative that they're maturing. I treat this album and the "...Times" album as true growing pains albums. They're starkly different from their earlier works. If you know the band, you'd kind of expect their videos to suck. They're not actors. They're "kick back and knock back a few" kind of guys. They're about the music and the performing, not this promo crap. Long live the Kings of Leon.
I'm sorry, but I really hate it when people compare bands. MGMT and Empire of the Sun are nothing alike IMO aside from being an electro-duo and having campish fashion tastes. They're both awesome but not alike. I love EOTS's videos they're so beautiful. Josh Logue (director) is awesome.
Nostalgic 80s and/or early 90s. :]
THIS IS AWESOME! Patrick Daughters has a great vision. Wow.
"Noooooo" to the marriage... Then again Ryan needs someone to settle his crazy *ss down. Wasn't she with Greg Laswell like a minute ago?
Also, it was remixed by John Hill, who also produced a bit of Santigold's album as well as a remix for Lykke Li's "Breaking It Up". I saw the remix at first and I thought "Kings of Leon? Lykke Li? Together? Huh?" John Hill is the tie that binds, I imagine. Both artists have worked with him in the past. :]
