I give you credit for at least looking at the article to cherry pick your point. Here's the actual paper cited in that media story: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34341797/ . Still not peer reviewed in preprint.
It is pretty clear this study did not go any further since it became well understood that having the vaccine does not prevent contraction, so anything that concludes "the vaccine is better than getting covid" is a dead end scientifically.
We can argue about importance, but I would say any podcast can be a forum for debate and dialogue.
Wait-- is it misinformation or disinformation? I forget. But you do know he doesn't sit there and talk to himself, he has guests. Bernie Sanders has said a lot of things people disagree with on that platform. But nevertheless. If we're going to start pulling plugs and take down hosts, let's do it right--Fox News is next. We all agree Fox has to go, right?
Do people think of this guy as a great lyricist? I honestly don't know, never really paid much attention. Good for him I guess. What other wordy nerd bands should have their lyrics bound up in a book? Decemberists? Belle and Sebastian?
This letter is not a point by point takedown of any misinformation and does not quote from his show. All their citations are general media articles and no peer reviewed science papers. The article I linked above is a real critical dissection by an academic. (I'm not a fan of this meathead but don't like being told what we can and can't listen to.)
Good thing I still have my Pono player.
(If anyone wants to read a fair critical piece with actual fact checking by an MD/MPH - https://unherd.com/2022/01/we-need-to-talk-about-the-vaccines/)
Jack has always been extra defensive and generous when it comes to talking about Meg's role, so not sure how reliable he is in this area. He's the one running a record label on the side, so it's a good guess he has a decent ear for taste.
It's far different for a brother and sister team who have been together as a unit from the start compared to bringing in expensive big name hired gun co-writers and producers
All you need to know about her is how she threw all her collaborators under the bus with her bratty response. She could have said something generous that at least acknowledged her co-writers, but went with a capital "ALL my songs". Pure gaslighting when we can plainly read the credits. Same for Jackoff--if she "brings in all these songs" then there should be no harm in explaining why are others' names are credited on them while also emphasizing her lead role in them.
How about this: Dylan live shows in 2022 are cash grabs where he doesn't interact with the audience, doesn't allow video projection for a better view, hides behind piano most of the show, and doesn't play any classics, except maybe a couple, in unrecognizable arrangements
Nice enough clip but seems he missed the assignment a bit. People want nerdy gear talk on these less so the mundane songwriting stuff. Though it was amusing for him to credit the tremolo bar bend strum to Rostam on a Frank Ocean song when Kevin Shields invented the technique on that same guitar model he is holding about 30 years ago. He surely knows that.
Nice. This will be the tightest band to play Cut Your Hair ever. (Hopefully all those people that wanted refunds for this fest stayed home and missed this.)
Enjoy, quite jealous. Hopefully you are not only vaxxed but also boosted before you commit to that long drive. For some reason LA Phil taken it upon themselves to require the extra step.
It's not their fault for being so good, but these new songs have sounded mostly effortless and easy. Nothing has really hit as adventurous and fresh as "Little Things" last year.
When you go from Robin Guthrie remixes to Dan Nigro co-writes, it feels like this is the offramp to exit on her journey. Good for her, she'll pick up a lot more new riders on her new path.
Well this is unexpected great news. These guys had a moment back in the day. I distinctly remember them them opening for another Caroline band, Revolver, who they blew off the stage Their whole "Delaware" album was great. They moved into a more straight rock direction on the difficult 2nd LP (maybe even anticipated emo) so it will be interesting to see where the new songs go. That J Masics Jazzmaster in the photo is hopefully a good indication of some forthcoming blissed out sounds.
This is nice but it does seem like Nico and Dave are putting their best ideas into other projects (Against All Logic, DH Group, etc) One tip off of the lesser priority of Darkside was calling the new album a "jam session".
Brilliant band, legends at this point. Compilations can be inadequate to capture the vastness of their canon. This new comp apparently omits any selections from last year's groovy album, which has them continuing to push things forward and trying out new sounds.

F this guy forever. Zero interest in anything he ever does again.
Also this site should not display this animal torture image, at least not without an intentional click to reveal it. Poor taste and bad judgement in the name of clicks, what else is new.
