Team Britney ... ?
Her iphone notes statements always have the appearance of someone trying to imitate a manic person's rambling but have consistency of grammar and punctuation that reveal a calmer mind at work. No misspellings, quotation marks, comma clauses, even spacing, etc. Who even knows how to get to the degrees symbol? Plus perfect cropping for Twitter with no text lines repeated.
They described shows for men 17-27 as disturbing and gross experiences. Seems pretty clear cut. They wonder if they were being tokenized; we can decide whether or not we might contribute to that. It's fine, there's a lot of bands. They want to hitch their wagon to identity politics, there's a crowd for them.
I did, but yeah it was much too mellow for the setting. They should have left the strings and acoustics at home and played a full on electric set heavy on the earlier stuff.
Really dig their sound. But as a disturbing and gross older male fan I don't want to tokenize them, so guess I'll just stay away. (They would probably have lost their minds if they saw the audience for the Wet Leg shows here.)
I was in that tent and was able to spread out on the grass and watch laying down with no obstructed view at all. There might be just 7 people this time around.
It's no longer worth sifting through the garbage to find the handful of good ones. The ROI of cost and effort to hike out to this has finally bottomed out. The good news is they put This Ain't No Picnic out there first to position it as the new music heads fest going forward.
Don't tell anyone, but I'm actually Latino. It's a common knowledge to be careful when traveling down south. Not to drink tap water, watch your drink, don't mess with the cops, and always use um, protection. Even Mexicans will joke about this stuff.
Why do they even need a damn musical guest when the host is there for her fame from musicals? Just have the house band throw together a couple of covers for her to belt out.
I'm vaxxed, bitch. That's why I hold people in charge accountable--I have skin in the game. We're talking about what people were told at the initial uptake of the then-new vaccines. Now we're being sold boosters of the original formulation for a new variant by the same people--brilliant. If you are still blaming the unvaccinated for things in 2022, you are just not keeping up with the latest data.
If you honestly do not remember the wide messaging around late 2020-early 2021 to anticipate and motivate vaccinations, I don't to tell you. Look up Fauci talking about heard immunity circa spring 2021 or Joe Biden saying you're not going to get it if you're vaccinated in summer 2021 for a couple examples. But the way you're still now clinging to the discarded "pandemic of the unvaccinated" concept kind of shows how out of date you are with the news.
Maybe they were under that impression because the original messaging from public health and government clearly stated that vaccination would confer immunity and a return to normal life
No love for Andy Bell/Ride? This is very nice. The riff feels a lot like an acoustic take on his "Vapour Trail," one of Ride's stone classics of the shoegaze era.

This is the kind of fest would be great to pop in and check out some of the mid tier bands from say Spoon on down and just enjoy the town the rest of the time. But it's such a pain to get to with zero local parking and ticket pricing is out of line. Let's see what the resale aftermarket looks like.
South Bay represent! It's rare when a lineup for a fest really reflects the immediate area's taste (or lack thereof...) so accurately. See you over at the Ozomotli set.
This isn't sufficient. Every existing physical copy must be surrendered. Prepaid return envelopes need to be mailed to every home. Then the minds of everyone with memories of the song must be be erased. The song never existed.
The dude is a POS but he did apologize right after it. They need to tell him what his sentence is. Of course, if he serves his penance, Isbell won't be able to do his usual online grandstanding.
