that version was made by a fan pawel osmolski, and you can find more info here: http://www.pawel-osmolski.com/radiohead-remixes/
he overdubbed instrumentation onto a live thom yorke acoustic performance
LOVE 80s bob. those early GBV records and all the stuff on suitcase, etc. are all gold. just top tier jangle rock. glad they didn't break out until the 90s though, when they'd found their own unique style
that's a very good fan remix by a guy named pawel osmolski. he added instrumentation to an acoustic version thom did. so while it is excellent, it's not the real thing!
get this out of your system now, there's gonna be more radiohead articles in the next month and you don't want your hilarious schtick to wear out its welcome.
a lot of the key sounds on "pulk" were sampled from a version of "true love waits" they worked on during the OK computer sessions, so there's always been a connection between the two tracks. i'm definitely intrigued about hearing this unreleased version where presumably the origin of "pulk" is more apparent.

i dunno, just doesn't have the gravitas that another 7-8 years of drum takes could have added. and -- it goes without saying -- a completely re-done chord progression under the second chorus, and a new bassline under the first bridge/pre-chorus. of course, if we tweak the bridge, the guitar line from the second verse (now post-chorus) from the 2013 master should be flown in and synced with the drum take from the original demo. and then once all that's done a completely new vocal take. THEN it'll be done.
the last paragraph made me chuckle. never thought much about candlebox, but he seems like an interesting, down-to-earth guy. would have liked to have heard him talk about the band he had with the live guys.
