Yeah it’s sad he feels this way, but let’s not pretend that an Alex Jones/Kanye West interview wouldn’t be some of the most entertaining shit imaginable.
So Apple Music apparently accidentally had this up and streaming for a little bit and that’s how these lyrics are all available already. Definitely not gonna look for the leak, but based off those lyrics I’m expecting this to be a super solid album.
Yeah 7/10 is a bizarre choice. This is one of the greatest songs of all time, probably the melody I’ve had stuck in my head more than any other in my lifetime.
Wow, after a couple listens I’m pretty sure this is way better than I’d ever thought an MGMT album could be. And I would consider myself to have been pretty big fan of theirs already, I just didn’t think they’d ever put out something this fully realized.
The best part of the lasagna line is that at this point Ryan himself looks very much like a guy who’s strung out on lasagna, meaning maybe he’s the answer to his own question. First he got Albert strung out on heroin, then probably pressured Julian into lasagna use...
Do yourself a favor and check out Bomb the Music Industry, this dude has been putting out an insane amount of high quality music for a very long time. Vacation is one of my favorite albums of the last ten years
So has anyone called the hotline yet? It's pretty great actually, and if you dial 7 you can hear Julian read the lyrics from the upcoming single which is apparently titled "Black Hole"
Damn :( "Dead Moon Night" came on my playlist when I was showering this morning and when I got out and had to go back and play it again cause it'd been way too long since I'd heard it. This is really shitty news
Yeah I had multiple friends trying to sell me floor seats to last nights show for $100, which I thought seemed super low. But then I realized I wasn't even willing to drop that cause at this point I've seen Jay Z and he just doesn't put on a very exciting live show. I'd rather pay 4x that to see Kanye.
Even though they're incredibly dumb, I actually really enjoy "Dreams" and "Wow". This one did absolutely nothing for me though. Also, did he not at one point say this albums sound was inspired by Talking Heads and The Strokes? I could be wrong and maybe that was someone else's album, but if it was him that's impressively misleading.
Reading "Meet Me In the Bathroom" it seemed like a tight race between Mr. Adams and James Murphy seem like the bigger dickhead, but in the time since the book has come out Ryan has taken a commanding lead.
Was gonna say this. Listeners these days have very short attention spans and a casual fan probably isn't gonna listen to the whole album in one sitting, so why not just release all the songs one by one?
Ryan, my mom thinks you're the best thing since John Mellencamp ;)
But seriously, I don't know if I've even seen a Trump twitter tirade as childish as this one
So do my ears deceive me, or is this weirdly good? I've only listened once but it immediately seems better than anything Trent has put out since Year Zero
First impression is that it doesn't sound great, but I'm not sure anything would in the format of cell phone recording of a record playing and a group of men talking over it...
So are these "production delays beyond his control" forcing him to cancel every gig he's booked just code for "locked in legal battle with Forever 21"?
Not only does he call Cornell selfish for commuting suicide, he goes out of his way to point out that he thought Audioslave was "lamesville" and misspells the word "borrow". What the fuck is wrong with this guy?
