I love how every story on Vampire Weekend or Joanna Newsom gets 20+ comments, but this greatness gets three. People suck.
Reminds me of this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM0XrLGEGis
Usually digging everything T&S, not feeling this though. :(
By "Peacebone" you mean "Fireworks", right?
I HEARD HE DABBLED INTO WITCHCRAFT, I HEARD OCCULT OH, THEY'RE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME
Nah, that's Anthony Kiedis.
I can understand AC not on the list, but why the fuck are The Dirty Projectors on the there. Also, people only like the singles MGMT has put out, why the hell do people like that lackluster album? Oh yeah, unnecessary hype. One more compliant, "House Of Jealous Lovers", really? I mean the Rapture are cool and all, but that song isn't that good. DFA 1979 did what they did, and made it better with "Romantic Rights". It's cool to see "Wolf Like Me" on there though. Put up some Deerhunter, Flaming Lips and SY mofos.
This is actually good? What the hell, make up your mind Billy.
I'm still sad about Oxford Collapse. :'(
Thank you for being a sense-able human being, and not a mindless fan boy.
Really, MTV and Radio is the hardest way possible? I guess bands like Minor Threat and Black Flag never had it as tough as holier-than thou Radiohead.
Electric President is the best Postal Service-type band that isn't The Postal Service, guys.
You know, everyone has problems. It doesn't mean you have to be a little crybaby about it.
That's pretty graphic.
If you let a bands comment affect how you feel about the band music, such as not going to a concert of theirs because of a comment they made, that's foolish. If you really enjoy a bands work you will stick with them regardless of their opinions and comments. The music is the only thing that matters, Go ahead and hate Matt all you want but if you like FF's music, don't go protesting them and stop listening to them all together. The Internet is silly, guys. The only exception is if a band member/artist anally rapes you're mother while pouring sugar in you're gas tank, then you can protest all you want.
You got me, my brain doesn't work well when dealing with Radiohead. :(
You are ridiculous for letting a band's behavior effect how you feel about the music. Are you honestly that insecure? This is honestly why Radiohead fans are ridiculed on the internet so much (I should know, I like em, but some of you guys make me wanna set Kid A on fire).
I love how this good band never gets comments on any of their posts, but the second when a commercial is involved they call them sellouts. Wesley Eisold deserves it, dude has been in some great undeserved bands.
Nah, I don't consider Owl City to be hipster cannon, I assume it to be Girlpantscore.
Seriously, the Radiohead fanbase here on Stereogum is getting very creepy.
Yeah, this is so much more boring than all that awful post-grunge Nickleback type shit. Go away please, troll. I think this is the first time I've like Dave Grohl's vocals since the first Foo Fighters album, cannot wait baby.
Panda's wolf shirt is the best thing ever.
This could either be really good, or really bad. No middle ground.
He's been a huge prick to his fans, all while releasing bad music. I think the hate is totally justified. Sure MACHINA was a huge concept, but It was released when the internet wasn't as popular as it was in 2007, so the impact is lessened. Plus, Corgan gave the album away for free because the pumpkins were kaput (for the time) and I assume he just wanted to be finished with them. This is coming from a person who considers Siamese Dream a deset island disc. I'm not really attacking his personal beliefs BTW, just how he has constantly spit in the face of the pumpkins. Just reading his twitter reveals that the dude has some kooky beliefs, so he has a spiritual website, good for him. I could care less.
My sister was able to attend, I however wasn't. :( She said the Yeah Yeah Yeahs were the best experience she has had since she's been to India.
I don't care what they say, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da or Why Don't We Do It In The Road are the worst fucking Beatles song. Flying kicks the living crap out of those two. Something is the best (glad to see it at, 5).
Sooooooo good. Bradford is curesed to make good muisic for the rest of his life.
As a fan of their first two albums and a Josh Homme fan. This is going to be fucking great.
Interpol>Strokes, any day of the week. This song is much better than the first one, having hopes for this album.
The 8-bit album is great, it makes me enjoy songs like We Are All On Drugs much more, and the fact that is has some stuff from Songs from the Black Hole is great.
Lou's a great song writer, I don't hate any of his Sebadoh albums and I feel Poledo compliments You're Living All Over Me. I'm looking forward to his album. It's also great that he's listening to Person Pitch for musical inspiration.
Did anyone else want to watch some Scrooge McDuck and co. after reading this band name?
lol at the Smashing Pumpkins being a "new", "hyped" band. You better be trollin' son. i
I am going to be listening to this nonstop for like a month. Best song since Night on the Sun, while stuff like Bukowski, Parting of the Sensory, and Spitting Venom came very close. Great job, Issac & co.
