Boots Riley is a national treasure, someone who’s spend the past couple of decades splitting his time between local Oakland activism and leading the great humanist, politicized funk-rap crew the Coup. On the new Coup track “WAVIP,” Riley shares space with two other acts who talk a lot of political shit in some very, very different ways: Killer Mike and Das Racist. It’s as much of a party-rap anthem as these guys are likely to make together. Hear it below.
