“Für Hildegard Von Bingen” is the first single from Devendra Banhart’s upcoming album Mala. The song is named after a German saint who was known for writing texts on botany and medicine, as well as having mystical visions — seems like the right kind of saint to inspire Banhart to write a song. Bingen’s visions began when she was three years old and she wasn’t so keen on letting other people know what she had been seeing.
