Last night, Sam Beam brough Iron And Wine’s lush and accessible indie-folk to the big outdoor stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live. And Beam rolled deep, bringing the biggest and most expansive backing band I’ve ever seen him use. Beam’s supporting players included a string section, a horn section, and a full complement of backup singers, all joining him for “The Desert Babbler,” one of the breezy deep cuts from the new Iron And Wine album Ghost On Ghost. As an online bonus, they also played the early single “Grace For Saints And Ramblers.” Watch both performances below.
Ghost On Ghost is out now on Nonesuch.
