Over the weekend, I got to see Bat For Lashes at Sweden’s Way Out West festival, and Natasha Khan was a marvel: Warm, confident, in ridiculously fine vocal form, able to rock a nutso flowery pantsuit without looking like a clown. I did not, however, get to see her cover the Fleetwood Mac witch-rock classic “Rhiannon.” That’s a new thing. Playing London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire last night, Bat For Lashes played a calm, still rendition of the song, and it sounded really good. You won’t see too much in the fan-made video below, but you’ll hear it really well.
