Nude Beach

About a year ago, the Brooklyn rock band Nude Beach released their album II, a ridiculously fun album of high-impact power-pop and beered-up old-school thrills. I didn’t make it Album Of The Week, which marks one of the greatest regrets in the history of that particular column. Because II is a grower, the type of album that doesn’t necessarily announce itself as one of your favorites until you realize that you’ve spent the past month with it on repeat, that you’ve been unconsciously throwing it on at least once a day. (For further evidence of awesomeness, consult the videos for “Walkin’ Down My Street,” “Radio,” and “Some Kinda Love.”) Nude Beach are still flying very much under the radar, so to drum up interest for their forthcoming tour with Japanese garage-psych band Suspicious Beasts, they’re offering their entire self-titled 2011 debut album for streaming and for free download. Below, check out the album and the tour dates.
