At the end of the month, Providence roots-rockers Deer Tick will release their new LP Negativity. The band unveiled “The Curtain,” a third cut from the record, yesterday but have delivered “Just Friends,” this week. On the song, frontman John McCauley says, “I ran into my ex-fiancée at a bar one night and, I’m probably wrong about this, it felt like she was staring straight through me the whole night. I hadn’t seen her much since we split up. I felt weird interacting as friends since we had never really done that much. I went home drunk and alone and wrote this song about that night a couple weeks later.” Check it out below.
