Timbaland - "Know Bout Me"

It’s almost comforting to know that Timbaland is still the sort of person who will recruit Jay Z and Drake, two of the world’s most successful rappers, to drop verses on his single, and he’ll still insist on giving himself the first verse. That’s the case on Timbo’s new single “Know Bout Me,” which, despite its pedigree, seems unlikely to extend Timbaland’s post-20/20 Experience hot streak. It’s a slick and synthy track, and it sounds like 2008. Listen below.

The track will appear on Tim’s forthcoming solo album Textbook Timbo.

  1. This track would’ve been good if it was just a James Fauntleroy feature

  2. Is the piano sampled from Halloween? Anything related to Carpenter will usually get my balls tingling but this shit is straight uninspired.

Timbaland’s verse is pathetically pedestrian. In an age where Juicy J has an Academy Award, why is it baller-status to talk about taking your bitch to the Golden Globes? Thats like stuntin’ at the Kia dealership.
Whats even sadder is that it’s all a shitty rip off of a 2pac flow; shits just disrespectful.

It doesn’t become even remotely memorable until about two thirds through when he finally abandons the loop.

  3. Fauntleroy steals this thing.
And anyone else find it amusing that the first single off of “Textbook Timbo” is just his best impression of “40″ Shabib?
