Chvrches - "Stay Another Day"

Chvrches were one of the year’s Best New Bands for making one of the year’s Best Albums. And when the Scottish synth-pop trio wasn’t turning heads on tour and late-night TV shows, they were expanding their repertoire with covers of Whitney Houston, Haim, and the Game Of Thrones theme. Now you can add “Stay Another Day” to that list. Lauren, Iain, and Martin stopped by the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge in seasonally appropriate attire to cover Brit boy band East 17′s ’94 hit. Watch below.

The Bones Of What You Believe is out now via Glassnote. Check out the band’s extensive 2014 tour itinerary here.

  1. Normally ironic covers sort of bother me but I actually dig this, I guess Chvrches can do no wrong.

    • why you post in Donnytila’s spot yo? Why you dsirespect? Good comment otherwise.

Chvrches is good live. I found their album a bit monotonous. Those synthesizers and drums get boring on the ear.

  2. please don’t tell me I’m alone in thinking this is TERRIBLE?

  3. This made me go back and watch the original East 17 video, where they’re wearing fur-trimmed puffer coats and getting showered with cocaine. Ah, much better.
