Laura Marling on eTown webisode

If you care even a little about the ongoing health of folky singer-songwriter music, Laura Marling is your girl. Her 2013 album Once I Was An Eagle was one of the best recent examples of the genre in action, and she might already have new music in the works. The lovely unreleased song “Born To Love” is one she’s been doing live lately, and she recently played a solo-acoustic version that the NPR show eTown recorded. For those cameras, she also played a weightless cover of Townes Van Zandt’s “Colorado Girl.” Watch her playing both below.

  2. I have trouble watching Laura Marling play because my love for her hurts too much.

  3. Laura is notorious for busting out new material. For the best war to stay on top of all her new songs she’s been playing on the road, I suggest this excellent blog:
Really AMAZING source for all her new music. She’s been playing electric guitar live in the last few months!
