Mac DeMarco - Salad Days

Mac DeMarco is a wiseacre dirtbag with a raucous live show, and he’ll probably always be known best as such, but he’s also got a gift for small, personal, slow-dissolve melodies. MeMarco’s new album Salad Days arrives next month, and the new single “Brother” is the second track he’s shared from it, following “Passing Out Pieces.” “Brother” sounds like a jangly early-’90s college-rock hit being smothered by a pillow, and you can hear it below.

Salad Days is out 4/1 on Captured Tracks.

  1. This is much nicer than that first single. That guitar sound! Like water. This actually has me looking forward to the new one a lot.

  2. passing out pieces is a beautiful track that makes me think “beatles” in a way i don’t understand but love. this is also excellent.

  3. Keep em coming Mac.
