Krist Novoselic

This month we’ve pretty much hit the jackpot of unique Lorde covers. March opened with Springsteen Springsteen-ing the hell out of “Royals”, then Chvrches did a synth and drum machine heavy version of “Team” for the BBC, and now we have Krist Novoselic providing a very unique take on “Royals.” According to the notes provided by the concertgoer who filmed the performance in Takoma Park, Maryland, this was all in support of the “Fair Vote Campaign” and featured Novoselic with members of DC bands the Cowards Choir and the Beanstalk Library. He plays “Royals” as an instrumental piece with just his accordion, and it’s a treat to watch. Check it out below.
