Veruca Salt

Last month we got word ’90s alt-rock vets Veruca Salt were reuniting their original lineup to release a new single for Record Store Day. 1. I was just thinking about these ladies. I can’t stop thinking about all the “what ifs” regarding the recent female fronted Nirvana performances and these two were at the top of my fantasy list. There are so many great harmony parts in those Nirvana songs and I always loved Veruca Salt’s harmonies. Plus they are playing Portland. Awesome news!

  2. i had eight arms to hold you on tape when i was younger, i felt so cool.

  3. First tour with original lineup in 19 years?
I saw them in the middle of 1997. Was that not the original lineup?

  4. Ryan, the lineup in ’97 had Stacy Jones (ex-Letters to Cleo) on drums. Jim Shapiro was the original drummer and he’s back for the reunion.

  5. he’s also Nina’s brother!

  6. I’m ridiculously excited about this. :D
