One of the perks of a Late Night band comprising Fred Armisen and an array of indie rock veterans has been the parade of musical luminaries sitting in. Marnie Stern and Eleanor Friedberger have each taken a turn with the 8G Band in recent months, and last night J Mascis joined their ranks. Judging from this tweet it seems like Mascis will be around all week.
