The first thing you hear on “Everyone But You,” after the introductory drum count, is a bent, fuzzy guitar blast that doesn’t hit you right away, instead kind of swooping into focus. This is what you’d toss the term shoegaze at, and while that sure would stick, that guitar sound stands down to the crystal clear vocals of lead singer Rachel Browne. Browne delivers a hell of a performance throughout Field Mouse’s new album, Hold Still Life, and “Everyone But You” is one of its best moments. Check it out below.
