“Easy” is one of the highlights from Son Lux’s great 2013 album Lanterns, a song that was made even more haunting when Lorde appeared on a remix. Director David Terry Fine’s video is not for the Lorde version of the song, but it’s good and creepy anyway. It seems to be about an elderly woman on the waterfront flashing back to that time she drew sketches of a gagged-and-bound acrobat lady. The imagery lives up to Lux’s eerie music. Note that this video is probably NSFW despite no actual nudity, and consider this a trigger warning for those who’ve been subject to assault or kidnapping. It’s dark stuff delivered artfully.
