Smash Mouth Singer Leaves Stage In An Ambulance, Band Plays “All Star” Without Him

The show must go on, and that’s what it did when Steve Harwell apparently left Smash Mouth’s headlining set at the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival last night before the band played its biggest hits. Harwell reportedly left the stage after collapsing and was taken away in an ambulance as the rest of the band was once again forced to perform “I’m A Believer” and “All Star” without him. As “All Star” goes, “Hey now, you’re a rock star, get the show on, get paid.”

Some speculated Harwell was too drunk or high. Could’ve been heat stroke too. Take it easy, though, Smash Mouth:

We have reached out to the band and will update if we hear back. Below, find footage of “All Star” and the crowdsurfing Shrek.
