UK outfit North Downs make a groovy brand of artsy, well-layered electronica intertwined with lush instrumentation. Their debut single is the funky, meandering “Nothin’.” Slick guitar flourishes meld with haunting atmospheric sweeps and subtle but intricate drums lifting gauzy vocals. It’s easy to get lost in the grooves and lulled by the beautiful harmonies, but the lyrics are slyly cutting as well. “Nothin'” hints at great things to come from North Downs. Check it out.
