Homeshake – “Call Me Up”

Homeshake – “Call Me Up”

Homeshake is the solo project of Montreal’s Pete Sagar, an alumnus of Mac DeMarco’s band with a third LP on the way. This time around, Sagar’s created warm, vapory pop, as evident from “Call Me Up,” the first single from (the perhaps telecommunications-themed) Fresh Air that premiered today on The FADER. “Call Me Up” is a pleasant arrangement of familiar presets, what sounds like a spacious 808, and Sagar’s endearing high-register; it comes across as a throwback, but it certainly isn’t phoned-in. Check it out below.
