ORB – “You Are Right”
Australian hard-psych act ORB (not to be confused with English ambient electronic act the Orb) will drop their sophomore album Naturality in the fall on Oh Sees leader John Dwyer’s Castle Face label. Lead single “You Are Right” is a guitar-centric track focused on electrifying licks, sometimes frantic and sometimes smooth as melted butter. The band just wrapped a tour with King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, and if that band is your cup of tea then you’re in for a treat with this one. The band’s Zak Olsen has some context for you:
The song is about sticking to your guns and doing what you think is best for yourself. Musically it’s faster, shorter and more to-the-point than how we usually play but it serves the lyrics I think. An ode to independent thinking.
