Azealia Banks – “1991” & “Van Vogue”

American electronic musician Machinedrum strikes up another collaboration with Harlem rapper Azealia Banks for her new EP’s title track, the knocking “1991,” a release that finds Azealia displaying more of her rapid-fire rap prowess. “I make hits motherfucker / never do it for free,” Banks raps over the Burial-meets-dancehall burner from Machinedrum. The 1991 EP is out today digitally and 6/12 physically via Interscope. It’s a package that also includes the previously released “212” and “Liquorice.” Her mixtape, Fantastic, is out 7/4, and apparently the outstanding “Jumanji” will be found there.
