Beth Orton – “Something More Beautiful”

The British singer-songwriter and former Chemical Brothers beautifier Beth Orton has gone six years without giving us a new album, but that streak comes to an end this fall. Orton recorded her new Sugaring Season in Portland with Decemberists producer Tucker Martine on the boards and a band full of sophisticated downtown types, including Sam Amidon, Marc Ribot, and Soul Coughing/Fiona Apple bassman Sebastian Steinberg. First single “Something More Beautiful” is a grand orchestral ballad; check out the song and its accompanying ambient visuals, as well as the album’s tracklist, below.

01 “Magpie”
02 “Dawn Chorus”
03 “Candles”
04 “Something More Beautiful”
05 “Call Me The Breeze”
06 “Poison Tree”
07 “See Through Blue”

Sugaring Season is out 10/2 on Anti-.
