Sebadoh – “Keep The Boy Alive”

Just yesterday we got the joyous news that Sebadoh is set to release their first new music in 14 years, and today, we get some of that music. “Keep The Boy Alive” is one of the three Lou Barlow-penned songs that will be featured on the five-song The Secret EP. As Lou himself said, “If you liked old Sebadoh — circa Bubble & Scrape era — you’ll like these.” Well, I’m a big fan of old Sebadoh, and to my ears, this sounds a bit more polished, a bit less frayed and unhinged, than anything on B&S, but I absolutely love this, too, so he’s not wrong. Check it out.
