Montreal-based shoegaze pop band No Joy have released a new single, “Lunar Phobia,” off of their forthcoming album Wait To Pleasure — their first full-length since 2010’s Ghost Blonde. Although “Lunar Phobia” maintains some semblance to No Joy’s earlier work, the track sidesteps their wall-of-sound aesthetic in favor of dreamy electronic sounds. No Joy’s calmer, cleaner sound could be attributed to the fact that Wait To Pleasure will be their first release to be recorded in a full-furnished studio. You can check out “Lunar Phobia” accompanied by trippy visuals below.
Wait To Pleasure is out 4/23 via Mexican Summer.
