Texan rock band Okkervil River return in a few months with the new album The Silver Gymnasium, and we’ve already posted the lyric video for first single “It Was My Season.” The album is a sort of tribute to Meridian, New Hampshire, the town where frontman Will Sheff lived as a kid, and of Sheff’s childhood memories of that town. Longtime Okkervil River cover artist Will Schaff (who, despite having almost the exact same name, is a completely different person from Sheff) made a gatefold map for the album, and a new video pairs “Lido Pier Suicide Car,” a lush instrumental from the album, with Schaff’s art.
